Ants in the bathroom, room smelled musty, moldy & like old damp carpet. From what it looked like to me one of the pillow cases had black mold on it.

Staff tried but room and everything in the room stayed wet. Even my shoes were wet. Carpet was old and wet. Balcony had bird droppings on the seat, overgrown bush kept us from seeing anything on our patio which was covered by algae. Couldn't stay out there because smell of marijuana was overpowering. All staff was kind , beds were clean and comfortable. Room had bulbs burned out and hair dryer did not work.

Location and staff are great. Our stay came with free access to the indoor waterpark across the street.

The hotel common areas and rooms need major repairs. Our room clearly had mold in the shower and the smell was clearly of water damage. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t a huge deal to us. The pool area had a major roof leak that was leaking heavily.

We got an excellent room with balcony overlooking the water, and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us.

The entire reason I spent a little more and booked this hotel was it advertised free breakfast, had breakfast displayed in pictures and I figured the increased cost would offset with not paying for breakfast. Unfortunately it’s a false advertisement, as there is no breakfast. The only reason I wasn’t super upset about that is the view from the hotel room. Would have also been nice if there was an ice machine on our floor instead of having to go to the 1st floor to get ice. The pool and hot tub looked rough but the beach was on point. Overall the entire hotel is pretty out dated, but all of them are in mackinaw city.

The staff were very nice. The pool and hot tub were kept clean and were nice sized. The location was within walking distance of both ferries to the island.

The only big downside was there being no breakfast included, which was advertised on Booking.com.

I loved the waterfront. Being able to walk from my room to go swimming was fantastic.

Friendly staff ! Needs updated bad. No light bulbs in are room fixtures. Very dark
