I called the front desk at 5:00am because when I was trying to get out of my room a strange guy was standing outside of my door and he started to call me. I was so freak out and then I noticed that he was picking inside my room. The Security needs to be doing more rounds in the resindence so this doesn't happen to anybody else. I was a very scary experience. Also I found cokroaches in the kitchen.
The name Marriott does not carry over to this property. Very old and unkept. Quite a lot of temporary living guests; not travelers. Police presence each day of our stay. The grounds, exterior walls and facia trim, interior furniture, cabinetry, appliances and flooring all very worn, dated and in dis-repair. Could not wait to wake up next morning to vacate.
Nice, clean, spacious room with a full size kitchen including full size fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Super nice for an extended stay. Only issue was the sink handles had to be pushed slightly to the right to get the water to shut all the way off. Pushing them straight down did not shut off the water all the way. Told the staff about it, but they said this was just how those sinks are. Minor issue. Once you found the sink 'sweet spot' it was all good! I would indeed recommend this place for a Sacramento stay overall!

Zach (reservations) was excellent, he was super nice and gave me good options for restaurants. I'm glad they are building a new Residence Inn hotel. This one needs a lift.
For a one night stay the room had more space & facilities, full kitchen, than we needed & was very comfortable. I'd recommend this for longer stays as you have the option to make your own breakfast, lunch or dinner. The free full breakfast was a big plus, we didn't have to find a restaurant to have breakfast before we went to the event "Calif. Capital Air Show" that we came to Sacramento for.
