The room was clean and we had a place to sleep for the night.

The shuttle service to/from the airport is not a free service. I filtered my search results specifically for shuttles. It isn't until you do a deep dive into the full list of amenities that you see the additional fee flag. And it's an expensive shuttle service. $30 one way, even if you have a reservation.
