We booked a room for an overnight visit to the island - one of our favorite places to go - on our way to an event. The bed was comfortable - the A/C unit was the type that goes off and on, which made for inconsistent noise and inconsistent temperature in the room.

We loved the location of the room facing the ocean with a door leading out to patio and view. There is a bike path the runs around the island and bicycles where available to enjoy. We will definitely stay here again.

Despite some issues, we still enjoyed our stay overall. The back door was extremely difficult to open and lock, and the security chain on the door was broken, which was disappointing. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner. The bikes could also use some TLC — the first bike had no brakes, and the baskets were rusty and falling apart; however, they did ride nicely once in use. The air conditioning was also not very effective. While there were definitely areas that need improvement, we still had an enjoyable stay.

The pool was closed. No notice before booking but at least the beach was nice.

Be ware! The turtle package is just a deception to get you to pay a higher nightly rate. They do not provide you with tickets, instead, they tell you to purchase your tickets at the turtle center then bring the receipt for reimbursement, the amount I paid was taken off my total hotel charges. The tickets cost me less than thirty dollaars, I paid fifty dollars per night more and stayed two nights.In order to get the package, so I paid around $100 for a $28 package. The room and the staff were all very good and I was over all satisfied with the hotel. The deceptive package was a bit disapointing.

We have stayed here many years, and always have a great time. The manager, Kim was absolutely amazing going out of her way to make our stay amazing.

My husband and I made a last minute decision to go to Jekyll for Memorial Day and I snagged a room here two days in advance. I was so pleased to see the beautiful grounds, pool, hot tub, beach access, water-facing decks, and a bike path right along the property. The property looked like it had been recently updated. The bed was actually very comfortable and it was very quiet at night. There were a couple minor inconveniences like a constant shortage of towels at the pool and not being able to access the free bikes when we wanted. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would go back.
