The room phone did not work

Easy access into the building, not to far from the old section of town. Location was the key away from the flooding in the area due to the thunderstorms rolling through the area.

Fix the handicap wheelchair shower pan/tub area from overflowing into the bathroom.

Breakfast was good

The pool was closed even know it was advertised as open

parking was good. breakfast was good except no orange juice.

The price was good. But you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly and responsive to requests, although their responses didn't always resolve the problem.

We found immediately slimy chicken wings under one of the beds. We found them immediately because they were in plain site. Not sure how housekeeping missed it "IF" they thoroughly cleaned the room. The AC didn't work to full capacity. We set it to 60 overnight and still slept with covers off. We rented two rooms for our family, and one of the rooms smelled like dirty feet. I got some air freshener from the staff at the front desk, but had to spray it multiple times overnight to keep the smell at bay. One single, tiny little trashcan for a suite. There was one remote in the room for two TVs, and it didn't work either one. I requested another remote from staff, and the one they provided didn't work either TV either. We ended up working the TV manually. The light above the mirror did not work. There were no tissues (not even an empty box) in the tissue holder. The floors were sticky and felt dirty generally all around. In the bathroom, there wasn't a trashcan and the toilet would not flush properly. The rooms (both of them) just felt dirty and unkept. There was one single, very slow elevator for a very long building that had three floors. The vending machines were practically empty. The backdoor that should have been locked for safety measures would not latch when you walked out, so you either pushed/pulled it shut or it stayed open. Every time we went in or out of it, it was unlatched so just anybody could come in the backdoor. The breakfast was not good at all. The best part was the waffles, but how do you mess up waffles? The link sausage was gross. The eggs were perfectly round little saucer shaped things that had no flavor at all. The biscuits were about as thick as the egg circles, and there was no gravy for them. Those items and cereal were the only breakfast options besides apple juice, coffee and water. Very disappointed in this hotel and the stay.
