Travel Place Lyon

We spent a weekend in one of the Travel Place apartments. It had an excellent location just one block away from the metro station, very close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and walking distance to malls. The apartment had a balcony with a beautiful view. It had a well equipped kitchen with dishes, glasses, pans, fridge and an electric stove. The bathroom was clean with a bathtub with a good flow of hot water. It also had an iron and ironing table. Besides that, it had a conditioner air, tv cable and wifi. The only negative point was the lack of cleaning elements like detergent and kitchen cloths.

We stayed on the 4th floor at the Travel Place Lyon in Santiago... And although the room was good, and everything else great, I found the noise from the avenue to bother me at night. This is probably because we stayed on a lower floor, ask for something higher.

The property does not have its name displayed and is part of a large Apartment building.The taxi driver dropped us and our bags at the address provided. No one to assist with luggage. Once we found the 5th floor office of Travel Place Lyon, Fransciso was very helpful. Property was spacious and clean. Very vibey area with lots of restaurants and shops. Our apartment was on the 17th floor with an excellent view to the North and the West. The bed was not very comfortable and the safe did not lock. Street noise was avoided by keeping windows closed and air=con on The advertised shuttle service to the airport did not exist. However, there was a taxi rank downstairs and Franscico arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport at 4.30 a.m. We enjoyed our stay but suggested improvements would help other travellers.

We made the mistake of forgetting to lock one bag that we left with reception at Hotel Travel Place after checking out. Unfortunately for us a watch went missing out of this bag, which we didn't realize until we had returned home and unpacked. I emailed the hotel to express my disappointment (can't really do much more given I could not prove anything) and got absolutely no response in return. It really soured what was a reasonable stay at this place. I say reasonable because even though the location in Santiago was good and the room was clean and comfortable, there was an excessive amount of street noise that came through during the night. Not exactly well sealed from noise. So if you want a well located place to stay overnight and you can sleep through the noise then this place might be for you. Just remember to never leave anything with reception.

This Apart hotel is located in the center of Santiago in Providencia. It is surrounded by several restaurants and shopping possibilities (including supermarkets across the street)The area is absolutely save. You can easily walk around and a metro station is across the street. We would book this hotel immediatly again. Gorgeous furniture, nice fully equipped kitchen, a big balcony, a roof terrace, laundry facilities and a small swimming pool. Even though it was an Apart hotel there was a cleaning service every day. The only thing that might be a problem for some people was the street noise. For us it was not a problem at all! We loved this place!

We enjoyed our three nights with Travel Place Apart Hotel. Not only was in one of the least expensive options we considered, we loved being out of the main hustle and bustle and staying in Providencia. The company has two locations, ours being on Nueva Providencia 2170. As others have mentioned, it can be a bit noisy and we had a slight delay in trying to find the building (we were on Providencia), but the apartments are clean and spacious and the top floor terrace and pool offer breathtaking views of the city. Staff was warm and welcoming, options to pay in Chilean Peso, US Dollars or by credit card. There is a supermaket very close and many fast food and trendier eating options. Subway is diretly across the street. Made the entire city very accessible with a great home base to return to at night. We did ask for them to call a car for us to the airport on Sunday, which was confirmed. We waited 20 minutes, no car. Ended up flagging a taxi off the street with no further troubles. Overall, cost outweighed any other disadvantages!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. We found the location very convenient, with Metro and Supermarket just across the road, as well as many restaurants nearby. We liked having a kitchen and the space the apartment provided (as opposed to a hotel room), and were very comfortable here. Others have mentioned the noise, we didn't find it a problem on the 17th floor. There was a swimming pool and gym available, which we didn't use, and free WiFi, which we did. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony, having a drink looking over the Andes, as the sun set.

The apartments are located in a condo building between Providencia and 11 de Septiembre, two of the busiest streets in Providencia. There is a lot of noise throughout the night so forget about sleeping if you don't have ear plugs. The location is good for the daytime though as you're close to many restaurants and bars as well as the metro which is right downstairs. The staff is friendly but speaks almost no english which makes communicating difficult. The apartment was clean and big enough. All in all it is a decent option but it's hard to overlook the incredible noise level throughout the night.

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the 16th floor for 3 nights at the end of December 2012. We arrived to Santiago at 6 AM, and as it was previously arranged with Valentina we were able to check in at that time. We loved our apartment, it has everything you need. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony, and spending time up on the roof by the pool also. The earplug was a great idea, and we used it at night, so we slept well. The apartment is just steps away from Los Leones metro red line. Great restaurants, shops, and a grocery store nearby. We will stay here again if we come back to Santiago
