Residence Inn by Marriott Spartanburg

Location is excellent and convenient; check-in was quick and easy; room was in fine condition with no problems; layout of the facility is pleasant and private. The best part was the breakfast - and not just because it was free! I found out that the food was prepared by an exceptional lady whose name is Nell. Unlike many motel breakfasts of this type, even at other Marriott properties, it was clear that the breakfast was produced by someone who really cares. The scrambled eggs were NOT dry and hard, but soft and creamy; the biscuits were obviously homemade, and the entire room was clean and neat. I will stay here again just for Nell's breakfast!

Great

The room was not very clean (mainly the bathrooms). The refrigerator was not cold and our food ruined. We stayed for two nights and housekeeping did not come to visit so we had a tiny overflowing trash can and had to ask for new towels. Rooms badly need updating. The staff was friendly and the pool was very clean.

Dirty, dirty, dirty! The place was dingy, old, and smelled of smoke. Debris and food all over the floors. Surfaces were NOT wiped down. Who knows what was left on the nightstands. Had to go around with Clorox wipes just to feel OK in the room. I would NEVER come back here again. This is the worse Marriott experience I have ever had.

The stay was nice, however the hotel needs renovations and the bed was not comfortable. The staff was exceptionally nice.

The property looks nice from the outside. Reception and eating area are updated and clean. The concept of the room is nice because it’s a good size studio. So it’s cozy. Being there twice I was unhappy with the cleanliness and condition of the room. I found items still in room from prior guests. My second room smelled like him too Showers, air vents and ceilings are moldy. The appliances seemed as if they were on their last leg.

Very clean property, pleasant and efficient check in / out, and room was very spacious.

Loved the property wish we could have stayed longer!
