Casa Francis - Apartamentos

A superb location only yards from the River in the Old Town. The room was spacious and airy with fantastically high ceilings and air conditioning. Whilst the kitchen facilities were less than we expected we were still able to have drinks and snacks. Our host Emiliano was brilliant. He spoke very good English which negated our lack of Spanish. He was charming, polite an extremely helpful. The bed was a little uncomfortable but it did not detract from the pleasure of our stay. Casa Francis is in the heart of the tourist area and the choices for eating out were immense. Similarly the shops for basic requirements were diverse and plentiful. In the evening we sat on the rooftop terrace and watched the sunsets, and found the local habit of applauding sundown charming. The lights of Buenos Aires could just be seen across the width of the River Platte

Sadly there was an invasion of mosquitos while we were in Colonia, and there was a resulting shortage of repellent. We accepted this as an unfortunate natural occurrence

Beautiful old property. Stunning roof terrace.

Shower/hot water.

As soon as we entered the property, we booked another night! We wish we could have stayed for longer! The owners are so kind and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, had a dining area, kitchen area, hot shower and toiletries. They gave us helpful instructions to get to the hotel, gave lots of useful information about the area and offer 20% off in their cafe next door. The rooftop has a perfect view of the sea and sunset. The location is great.

The curtains and shutters let in light. A stove top would be useful but not essential as there are lots of restaurants vcose by.

The location of Casa Francis is absolutely amazing. We stayed in apartment #4 which has the sea view and it is almost like being on a ship. And when you go to the shared roof top terrace, the view is even better. This is a prime location and the apartment is a real gem.

Beautiful views of the sunset from the apartment window or the rooftop terrace. Magnificent.! The host was really nice and very accommodating. The location is great. Well-stocked kitchen and comfortable.. they also run a restaurant next-door in which they give a discount to the clients with very good food and seating, inside or on a rooftop terrace.

Old building with delicate plumbing. The bedroom window provides little sound proofing, and the square below can be noisy on the weekend, but it does not last late into the night.

The location is excellent right in the center of the old town. The electronic outer door control worked really well. The apartment met our needs in every way.

Everything was good

The double bed was two singles together which make the sleep not as good as a large mattress bed

Location was very good for the old town. Breakfast at Serrano Cafe next door was excellent.
