Ceol na Mara Guest House

There are so many elements of our stay that we loved about Ceol Na Mara: the warmth and friendliness of our hosts, Jane and Dave, the view from our room, the physical beauty of the location, the thoughtful and sensitive attention to detail, the Harris Tweed touches and decor of our generously sized room, the peace and quiet, the little touches of whisky, the biscuits and chocolates, having a fridge in our room with fresh milk, the wonderfully comfortable bed, the thoughtful inclusion of ear plugs, a picnic set, face cloths, the porch for changing from outdoor shoes, the delicious, generous breakfast, blockout blinds, the guest lounge upstairs and the wonderful touches of highly appropriate sheep decor throughout the guesthouse. Just love what Jane and Dave have created in providing a sanctuary for guests at Ceol Na Mara. They have considered every little detail in catering for guests needs. It was truly a privilege to stay here. We just wish we had stayed longer.

The location of this accommodation is stunning. We were immensely impressed and grateful for Jane and Dave's friendly attentiveness. They even facilitated our need to clean our car! While our room was small and, being the last room left, did not have an ensuite bathroom but one adjacent, there were other excellent facilities provided such as sitting rooms from which we could enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Our room was very comfortable. We would not hestitate to recommend Ceol na Mara to other travellers.

The hosts could not have been more welcoming and friendly. would return in heartbeat. Many small touches that prove that they put the guest first and want to ensure that they enjoy the stay and are able to relax and enjoy the beautiful islands.

Everything was perfect ! Jane and Dave are very welcoming and gentle. The room was perfect ! The private bathroom outside the room is just in front of the room in a calm part of the house. As arrived a little late to go out for diner. Jane indicated me that a little set to have a little bite with my food was available. And a mini bar is available in the commun area with different kind of drinks (price very ok) and with Harris gin ! A very nice attention with a little jar of whisky of the day is waiting for you in your room. All the commun area were very Cosy. the bed is like a cloud. And the breakfast is incredibly wonderfully tasty and freshly cooked. And the view !! If yo got lost with your gps, use the localisation from booking it is the good one. Jane has plenty of really good tips to give on the island.

very homely and very comfortable accommodation, breakfasts were excellent and nothing was to much trouble. Rooms and sitting areas were well stocked with tea coffee and biscuits and anything else you might want.

Jane & Dave are wonderful hosts, beautiful place, delicious breakfast.

This is a luxury staying. Dave and Jane are lovely, and have thought about everything. The location is great and easy to reach by car, the room and the house are cozy and really clean, perfect in the details. There are two share lounges were to relax and enjoy the view of the hills and the sea, the complimentary "welcome whisky" was really appreciated, and the breakfast is superb. It is really worth the time and the trip, we will for sure come back.

Beautiful setting, gorgeous room with lots of lovely touches. Everywhere was immaculate, an amazing breakfast (we didn’t eat again until dinner) and fabulous hosts. 10/10
