Great location, beautiful setting. Staff very welcoming and friendly . Food delicious!

We stayed in outside room and the sound proofing was poor The guests were not noisy but could hear conversations etc etc

Breakfast excellent with plenty of choice Service was excellent and nothing too much trouble

We stayed in beautiful house 100 metres away from the pub meaning we had to travel for meals Not a problem for ourselves and the weather was excellent but less able bodied people and poor weather might generate a different view

Excellent rooms, clean, comfortable and lovely terrace. Beer excellent, good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Proper Greek yoghurt for breakfast.

Food portions were very big......which could be a positive. Meant however no room for puddings. But food was excellent .

Wished we could stay longer

Could not fault a thing really. Bathroom radiator could be left on I feel for showers etc.

Location was good, staff friendly and atmosphere in the pub was good. Room was nice, clean and cosy. Breakfast was lovely.

Only feedback I do have was I had the fish and chips and the chips and peas were very dry.

Beautiful garden room, everything looked brand new and we had our own terrace to sit on in the courtyard. Lovely pub and great food

It didn’t really matter to us as we only stayed one night but unless you’re going for a walk it’s quite isolated. The one in five single track road in and out might put some people off.

We had travelled a lot and as pensioners would have a preferred a little longer for breakfast.

The room was comfortable. The food was excellent. The location was beautiful. The staff were very efficient and friendly.

So, we wanted a place for the night after visiting friends in Whitby. What can I say, this is a gem of a place to stay. Wow, wow wow, we had a fantastic stay and I can’t really put into words what the accommodation & the area is like. All the staff, owners, managers are amazing. The rooms are fantastic & the food at the inn is amazing. Thanks for the experience & we will definitely be back. Can’t wait
