"Fabulous weekend stay"

Fantastic room,very cozy spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated cottage with its own entrance.It was so quiet and peaceful in a wonderful,pretty village location. Yorkshire is stunning.The bed was so comfortable ,I found the make was Beevers ,hand made bed and am purchasing one!! The restaurant was fantastic,fabulous,generous portion food.I had the Whitby scampi ,my husband the home made steak and Ale pie,both were fantastic.The servive at the Inn is xexcellent,very attentive friendly staff. Our stay was fabulous,great food in such a beautiful room, very well designed,very homely,friendly atmosphere.Loved it and will be back for sure.Great value too.Can't praise the staff enough..they made our stay fantastic.

Absolutely amazing place to stay!! This was the best nights sleep in a long time with the best quality of everything, wonderful accommodation and lovely friendly people working there. We stayed in a cottage at the back of the inn, it was high quality, lovely big room and en suite, all just right! The village itself is amazing, we were looking at the stars and the new moon with no light pollution at all, it was wonderfully ❤️ We had dinner in the inn and the homemade food was cooked to perfection. Then the breakfast was fabulous too. Credit goes to the inn owners and the friendly staff who always smile when they serve you, you can see they really love working there. They even gave breakfast sausages to the dog on the table next too us, that’s so good.

The property was outstanding in a beautiful location. We did arrive in a snowstorm so getting there was a little tricky on the massive hill that we had to go up with snow and ice. There was a tractor pulling someone else out and agreed quite readily to come back for us, but we did manage to get there
