South Platte Cabins & Kennels

The cabins were fairly clean. Broken and sharp light on fan. Water was either hot or cold in shower. Shower curtain smelled bad and there were not enough towels. Pond was nice to look at and it was lovely to sit outside but very noisy with highway traffic. Breakfast was not great and I do not recommend. There is NO pool on sight or nearby. At the front desk they said they would provide a key fob for the local rec center but they only ‘had one and the people they gave it to never brought it back’. Tons of trash in property and in the parking lot.

This property was nice, but I was very disappointed to find out there is No Pool, they have a key to the Rec center when someone else doesn't have it and if it is open swim, after noon. I feel that should be more clear on the reservation. I also do not feel I should have to request my room to be cleaned.

Cute Cabins, great stay.

Check in went well and then we experienced our “cabin”. As you walk towards the row of six cabins there is trash everywhere, discarded men’s undershorts, excrement. The cabin itself was filthy, see pics, and many things broken inside. This establishment is overall dirty and upsetting. The laundry facility smells rank and the breakfast that we heard so much about was low quality carbs and coffee. This property has so much potential to be lovely with the lake behind it. Instead (see pics) there are encampments with human excrement beside the “playground” area.

I really liked the pond view. My only tip would be that the grill they have is charcoal, so be prepared for that.

Great for the dogs and the view was nice but the pace was very dated and old and bed was hard for what I paid I was disappointed.

Neat alternative to a hotel room, although it seemed pretty pricey the night we stayed. I know the rates fluctuate. The room was nicely decorated in a rustic theme and the porch with the pond view was cool. Breakfast was great!
