South Platte Cabins & Kennels

There were 6 independent little cabins. The cabins were set up similar to a normal hotel room. They allowed dogs which was really nice for us! It was quite and comfy. It was also clean. The staff was very nice and the breakfast staff kept everything filled.

The only negative was the shower. The water changed hot to cold and back every few seconds. The water pressure was low too.

Lake nearby, but no fishing allowed? Convenient location but a 30 min drive to lake mac which is a little far. Pet friendly and they have kennels for dogs outside.

Noisy highway traffic all day and night, shower was low pressure and was either scorching hot or ice cold... no in between. Dog poop around the area

A very comfortable place. I would stay again.

Beautiful pond next to the property, clean and spacious. Good breakfast at the property next door.

The way to get into the cabins is difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Wi-Fi was very weak

The cabins were very cute and clean. It was a nice change from a hotel room. It was nice to be able to go into the hotel for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Mexican restaurant next door was convenient and tasty.

The cabin and concept were great.

The advertising portrayed the cabin being in a more isolated area, not tucked behind a 2 star hotel right next to a busy freeway. The kennel idea is great, but the area would distress a dog too much.

Front desk clerk was so friendly and helpful.

The cabins are perfect if you travel with dogs and/or kids. I would definitely stay again. In fact, I tried to on our return trip but they were all booked up! The breakfast was also great and the community center to which you get access was much better than any hotel pool. The nearby lake is great too!
