We had a very pleasant overnight stay and meal there and the staff were friendly. The room was quite small, the bathroom even more so. The stair carpet to the rooms badly needs replacing. A better range of vegetarian food for dinner is needed and the brulee dessert was tasty but rather small for the price. Breakfast was good but perhaps an offer of more tea and coffee would be a good idea.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room clean and spacious. Unfortunately our room was close to the kitchen extractor fan, it went off at around 10.00pm the first night of our stay however was on all night the following evening.

To be honest the rating is solely down to the lovely way the staff handled the check in and evening meal. The room itself would be a 2 star. I was in the roof, the stair case leading to was steep, the room door small and oddly shaped, the access to the bathroom was through a tiny weird shaped door, photo below. I sustained a brain injury a few years ago, so navigating to odd space was a challenge. There should be a disclosure about this room.

Best breakfast

Stayed at The Cat and Custard Pot for one night, to enable us to get to the Badminton Horse Trials without having to endure the horrendous queues driving up on a Saturday morning! Such a good decision - it was easy to find with a large car park, pretty outside area to have a drink in the sunshine, we had a delicious evening meal with excellent service, our room (Home Guard) was spotlessly clean, had a really comfy bed, great en-suite, coffee/tea machine and bottles of water. Didn’t need breakfast as we checked out early to get to Badminton before the queues! It was the perfect start to our weekend and we would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

Great service, food and friendly staff. The sausages for breakfast are the best I’ve ever eaten! Superb.

Cozy

Very cute coach inn in the lovely quiet village Shipton Moyne. It’s a very short drive to the larger village of Tetbury for shopping.

Stayed one night at this amazing place wished we could have stayed longer. We dined in restaurant the food was excellent hubby had ribeye steak and I tried the belly pork with crushed potatoes leeks and apple sauce and cider which was the most delightful plate of food I’ve had in a long time the staff were very helpful and the breakfast very good would definitely recommend this establishment you will not be disappointed
