San Diego Mission Bay Resort

The location of the resort is absolutely beautiful, the staff were helpful and very kind. The grounds were well kept and gorgeous! The pictures online don’t do it justice! My husband and I stayed in a King Suite, and it was so perfect! We ordered room service a few times, but there are also restaurants to go to on the resort! At the poolside, you can order alcoholic drinks, but also some non alcoholic, as well as yummy food to snack on!

Location is great being right on the beach and the public areas of the property are nice. That’s about all I have on the positive side. The room was dated, food options were not great, especially for vegetarians, fitness center is small and had multiple broken cardio equipment machines including sit down stationary bike and elliptical machine. The discount for bike rentals is not valid with the bike rental company on the beach. The kids creative corner was closed to store things in it per the staff, but the employee was nice enough to get my son some temporary tattoos to accommodate that activity that was on the schedule but canceled. The WiFi and tv’s randomly stopped working at different times of the day. To top it off, we received a knock on the door at 11:05 AM on departure day and it was someone telling us check out was at 11AM after I said we would be vacating within 5 minutes. I’ve never had that happen anywhere I’ve stayed. Could have stayed at The Omni Resort or Paradise Pointe and now wish we did. Won’t be back.

Just sharing my experience, from the moment we arrived to check in our receptionist was nice. Costumer service was great, rooms were very clean and specious. Every time we asked for extra towels or anything we needed, crew members were there to help. They were very polite. I talked to the head of the cleaning department I believe she said her name was Elizabeth Sillas, very nice young lady! She helped us a lot even when we didn’t know we’re to head and looked lost she would help us. She made our stay a lot more comfortable and experience so much better. I recommend this place to stay.

This property is freeway access. Very close to Seaworld and UC San Diego. The property is connected to marina bay to utilize the water sports. This is definitely property for family and with kids. I would check this property out with amazing view.
