Capital Hilton

I have the hotel 4 stars since there were some terrific parts of the hotel and just a few negative issues. I wish you would include the buffet breakfast into the price since it is confusing to have this $30 credit and it is easier to soend more when you’re havi g breakfast. The Breakfast at the Capital Hilton is one of the best I have had at a Hilton. I have tried many of the Hiltons both in DC and elsewhere I have never seen such quality even with the fresh scramble eggs and the perfect made-to-order omelettes. Every pastry is fresh and delicious. Plus I like to eat a lot of fruit in the morning and your breakfast has all of the berries-amazing! I had a burger and fries in the Statler Lounge which was very good but too expensive! The Retail Store had a lot items to buy for the room and due to cold weather in May, I had to buy a hoodie. The woman running it was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice. I was upgraded to 801 which was very spacious. Comfortable pillows and clean sheets everyday was great! Valet: first of all, I realize the going rate is $75 but the service doesn’t live up to the price. It was chaotic when I tried to check-in late on Friday night. And sometimes it took awhile to get the car. I gave a few tips but I didn’t feel any personal touch. And the worst part is they charged me double for my 3 nights. Luckily I noticed when I got home. I had a terrific Hilton rep solve it for me and get my card refunded. Please scrutinize this part of the hotel service! Thank you. MarcW MarcW

Checked in very late. Homeless person camped out around the corner and had to press button to enter. Entrance was locked. Had intended to stay 5 nights but couldn't wait to check out the next morning. Room was minimal at best and the exterior windows are filthy. Could barely see outside. Happy to find Marriott in crystal city was avialble. THAT is a great property. If you want inner city experience with a tired Hotel, stay at Capitol Hilton. You've been warned!

Frank at the front desk provided outstanding customer service during my stay at the Hilton in Washington, DC. He was friendly, professional, and very helpful from the moment I arrived. Frank made the check-in process quick and easy, answered all my questions, and ensured I felt welcomed throughout my stay. His positive attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference. Thank you, Frank, for the excellent hospitality!

The hotel is very old and tired. The tile in my bathroom floor was rocking up and down as the grout was all wore out. I reported it to management and they said they would have engineeering fix it but nobody came (3 night stay). I cracked my toe on it coming out of the shower. Bathroom is very dated and super small. The door almost hits the toilet. Bed was not comfortable at all. I am a Hilton ho its members and this Hilton is not cheap and definitely not up to Hilton standards. Small coffee stand in lobby, not too many choices. The breakfast buffet was $97 for 2 people and the food was not that good. Manager sent me a text to see how my stay was going and I sent pictures of bathroom floor tile, stated it was unsafe and I hurt my foot and they did nothing g about it. I have pictures and my text messages saved. I was going back to DC for the 250 4th of July celebration and just cancelled my upcoming Hilton stay at this hotel. Hotel needs a renovation and should not charge the current rates they charge u til they fix the place up a bit. Very disappointed.

πολυ καλή τοποθεσία για επισκεψη συγκεκριμένων αξιοθέατων στο dc, ευγενικό προσωπικό, καθαρά και άνετα δωμάτια, ασφαλής περιοχή κοντά σε μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς. Ήσυχα δωμάτια χωρίς εσωτερικούς ή εξωτερικούς θορύβους παρά την κεντρική τοποθεσία

Έκανα την κράτηση μέσω Booking και αφού την ολοκλήρωσα μου ήρθε μήνυμα από το ξενοδοχείο ότι θα χρεωνόμουν 100$ εγγύηση για κάθε βραδυ διαμονής μου. Ο όρος αυτός θα έπρεπε να υπάρχει ξεκάθαρος πριν ολοκληρωθεί η οποιαδήποτε κράτηση αλλά δεν αναφερόταν πουθενά. Κατά την άφιξή μας στο ξενοδοχείο χρεωθήκαμε εντελώς άλλο ποσό από το συμφωνημένο. Η δικαιολογία ήταν ότι πρόκειται για λογιστικό πρόβλημα του ξενοδοχείου. Ευτυχώς στην πορεία διορθώθηκε. Γενικά θα ξαναέμενα στο ξενοδοχείο αλλά για μια μακροήμερη διαμονή θα είχα πρόβλημα με το μεγάλο ποσό εγγύησης.

Everything was great from Check in to checkout! Clean room and great staff! Nancy from the restaurant was amazing! The two gentlemen at the front desk were great as well. I would stay here again!
