Nice, short stay at the Marriott Baton Rouge for business in early Nov. Marriott Bonvoy Gold member. Chose the location due to proximity to a business engagement and bc it is a Marriott property. Reserved a 1 King room. Depending on traffic, about a 15-40 minute ride from BTR airport. Positives: -check in was easy and quick. Sparkle at the front desk was very welcoming, and she was able to upgrade me to a room on a higher floor with a view. Lobby was nice a clean, smelled fresh. -Room was decently sized and had a view of the highway with the city off the in the distance. -Area around the hotel was mainly ‘corporate’ with a small shopping plaza next door (with a Sullivans Steakhouse). -Fitness center was small but it had the necessary equipment for a workout. When i used it, there were 3 other people in there, and it started to feel a little cramped. -I didn’t get any food or drink service, so I can’t comment on that, but I did glance at the menu, and it looked like there was a decent selection of drinks and food. Negatives: -nothing neat the hotel. So you’ll need a ride into the downtown area (probably 10-15 min Uber/Lyft). -hotel had a pool, but i couldn’t access it. Room key would not work, but i was trying to access it during its normal open hours. -There is nothing special or memorable about the hotel. It’s a very standard/traditional Marriott hotel. You’ll probably forget about it after you check out. If I visit Baton Rouge again, I’ll probably stay someplace closer to the downtown area. Maybe the WaterMark?

Family stop over on the way to the beach. Was good value option. Wish we could have gotten a adjoining room
