Hampton Inn Lexington South-Keeneland Airport

Good breakfast and nice breakfast staff. Pool closed. We had to slam our room door to get it to shut, Garbage on floor in room. We stayed for several days. Came back to the room at 9:30PM one evening and our room door was open. ((Had left at 8 AM.) Spoke with front desk staff who stated it was probably housekeeping who keeps the room doors open as they don’t have a key fob for all the rooms while they are working. What? Why still open at 9:30PM? We had our luggage/jewelry/electronics in the room but nothing seemed to be missing.

I have stayed in a lot of Hampton Inn's, as a Hilton Diamond member, and this is by far the worse one I've ever stayed in. It began with the first room they gave me, which straight up smelled like a wet dog. I asked for a different room. This room looked like it may or may not have been cleaned. There was no toilet paper. So I asked and they did bring me some. Then I continued to discover things. The mold on the ceiling, no washcloths, no hairdryer (after I already washed hair and was told they didn't have anymore), the remote to the TV didn't work and they didn't have any more batteries, and worse of all, the door didn't latch or lock. None of that was remedied. After getting sick from the mold, we checked out on day 2, and moved to the Home2Suites across the street. Save yourself the hassle and just book that one in the first place. The one positive is that Hilton made it right and refunded my one night stay!

Elevator was not working. My husband and I were on the 3rd floor. He is not suppose to be lifting heavy bags, etc, let alone trying to get our bags up and down 3 flights of stairs. Water flow in sink in our room was very inadequate and slow. The men’s bathroom downstairs was out of order. The pool was being worked on. The water fountain downstairs also out of order. Not a good stay.

Location was excellent. Hotel was very clean.

It wouldn’t have been so bad, but the pool is closed and they didn’t tell me until AFTER they charged my card. Booking.com got me out of my second day and I ended up checking into home 2 suites which is what I recommend in lieu of this hotel.

False advertising

Staff was friendly & helpful. Pool wasn't available due to needing repairs. No small freezer in the refrigerator, so we had no way to refreeze our keep cold packs for our cooler.

The location was great

The pool was broken with no notice, the cost was incredibly high, the shower had stains/soap scum, the room door was bent so felt unsafe, we were never given enough towels or wash cloths

Check-in was fast and service was excellent. The indoor pool was not in service as they were doing updates to the pool area. In the room I reserved, there was a water leak in the barhroom ceiling supposedly not coming from the room above me but traveling from somewhere else in the building. They immediately came and temporarily took care of the leak. With only one night left, I opted out of moving everything to another room. The location is well lit up and was in a safe area. I opted out of breakfast everyday as I don't normally eat breakfast, but from what I saw I would've skipped anyway. The dark roast coffee was good (that's the important thing).

The property was in a good location. However, we found out the pool had a leak the evening we came. So the pool was closed and no refund or partial refund was given. We have a 2 year old, the pool was one of the main reasons we wanted this hotel. Very disappointing. The bathtub had a hole in the fiberglass and it was covered with a sticker, and the electronic blinds in the room did not work. It was quiet and convenient but a few things need work!
