Fantastic location in Wilmington. Was very close to concert we attended. Excellent restaurants nearby. View from the room of the Cape Fear River was Excellent. Hotel in need of some upgrades. Especially in bathroom. Lighting terrible. Room very clean. Would stay here again.

Nice stay with good service throughout the hotel. The location, on the water, is excellent with easy access to the bars & restaurants in downtown. WiFi and smart TVs were both very strong and prided great variety and access. Tge pool is really good overlooking the river.

"Disappointing Stay – Not Up to Hilton Standards"

Check-in wasn’t available until after 5 PM, which was frustrating after a long conference day—even with a reduced rate. The room had maintenance issues: a loose toilet paper holder, paint splatters on the toilet and floor, and painfully uncomfortable bathroom tile. One day, the A/C failed and the room hit 81°F despite being set to 68. Though it was fixed, I had to leave the room when I really needed a break. I usually enjoy Hilton stays, but this property didn’t meet the brand’s usual standards. I won’t stay at Hotel Ballast again.

I had a reservation for a king size bed room and they did not have it, they gave me a double bed room that was a bit dirty and one of the mattresses was way past usabble life. It sagged and sinked in different areas
