DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Grand Rapids Airport

Over $400 to spend two nights here is a bit much for the hotel and the amenities provided

The room was fine. But the building needs some love and updates

The air conditioning didn’t work in our room. Hotel clerk was very rude when I requested a partial refund then I Was supposed to receive a partial refund which I did not.

Good location

Awesome stay, this hotel is gorgeous. Front desk staff were super nice and accommodating. There was a black gentleman with glasses (so sorry, can’t remember his name) working the front desk at check in and check out for us who was especially courteous and made the stay memorable. The suites are spacious and it was an extremely comfortable and relaxing time.

The whole stay was a nightmare. The elevator wasn't working and the front desk never told me at check in. The air conditioner and tv didn't work in my room. The restaurant was horrible. I was the only one in the restaurant and it took my waitress 15 mins to bring me a menu. I order beef tips, potatoes and a salad. I also order a lime marquarita. The drink was so bad I only drank a few sips. The food was bland. No flavor. The waitress never came to ask how my food was. Again I was the only ONE in the restaurant. I could see her sitting in a booth rolling silverware. I would never go back again. Disgusting. I should asked for a refund.

Pool and hot tub we're unavailable. Elevator was broken which made it a long walk to our room. The AC was very loud and woke us up alot.

Our first room’s AC was running extremely loud and it wasn’t kicking out cold air. So the room was hold and had a weird musty smell. When we asked to change rooms to get a a working AC unit they didn’t have any rooms with 2 queen beds left so we got 2 full beds instead. Unfortunately no discount was offered but we paid for the two queen option. The pool was under construction. The coffee in the lobby was out in the morning. The elevator was broken. The sink in our room wasn’t tightened to the sink so it was pulling out each time we tried to use it. The rating on this hotel is way off. It should be 2-3 star until the fix it up.

Have stayed here multiple times and I have been happy.

The room was very old and dingy looking. The air conditioning in the room did not work. It was so incredibly hot the whole time we were there. I will not be staying there again.
