The Doubletree in Grand rapids isn't a bad hotel, the problem is it's not a great one either. What it gets right: a clean room, a clean bed, a clean bathroom and basic TV options. What it got wrong: the AC is loud, you're not going to be able to sleep. My room's AC was also leaking, and a wet carpet is a mold concern.The restaurant attached to the hotel is very sub par. The breakfast buffet was mixture of cold, and lukewarm food. And for $15, it was overpriced for the quality of what you received.

Staff very nice

Room 250 Air Conditioner makes loud noises all night and all day. Can't get good restful sleep or relax. Woke me up several times when it kicked on. And I am a heavy sleeper and take an over-the-counter sleep aidl.

Definitely a ghetto hotel. Straight out of the 90’s and needs so much updating. Poorly designed, and the pool was closed- IN JUNE. The restaurant was also closed. At least the bed is sort of comfy. I try not to be picky but this place is worth more like $60 a night… avoid.

The only thing was the pool was down. My kids were very upset. Other than that it was a nice experience

The cookies and the air.

Front desk seem to be upset when I told him I had canceled a day. Daughter and nephew was questioned when they came in was asked was she at the right hotel (both over 30 years-old). Thought both rooms was double bed. ( probably my fault I should have asked). Phones in rooms didn't work. She went down to ask for sheets the let out couch had none. She said the didn't have any but they can send security up with some later (really, security......lol) happy I only stay one day and it was way over price for one day...($500 for two rooms). And bed was loose if you sat on end it tilted up.
