Hilton Houston Westchase

EASY CHECK IN AND MY ROOM WAS AVAILABLE TWO HOURS AHEAD OF CHECK IN TIME. ROOMS WERE BIG AND NICE.

I DIDN'T LIKE THAT SATURDAY MORNING THE ROOM RIGHT NEXT TO US WAS GETTING WORKED ON. WE WOKE UP TO BANGING OF HAMMERS, STUFF BEING PULLED OUT OF THE ROOM AND JUST VERY LOUD NOISE. WE WANTED TO SLEEP IN ON A SATURDAY AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO RELAX BUT WE COULDN'T AS IT WENT ON MOST OF THE DAY. A LITTLE HEADS UP WOULD OF BEEN NICE BUT NOTHING AT CHECK IN WAS MENTIONED. IF THE HOTEL WASN'T FULL THIS PAST WEEKEND I WOULD OF ASKED TO OF BEEN MOVED. ALOT OF MONEY WAS SPENT AND NOTHING WAS COMPSENSATED TO US. DISAPPOINTED MANAGEMENT DIDN'T NOTIFY OUR FLOOR THIS WAS GOING ON.

Clean and convenient

The ac unit very loud. There was a consistent strange clunking sound from either the elevator or ac or other in interior wall. Loud enough to wake you up. Must be in need of maintenance attention.

It was serviceable, but barely. I agree with others: it’s threadbare and a bit of a throwback. But it wasn’t as horrible as I anticipated. The lobby fragrance isn’t as overwhelming as other Hilton’s and was undetectable in a high floor. The room and bed were fine. AC was fine. No amenities in the bathroom except for a tiny bar of soap. However, no hot water whatsoever, so wasn’t able to shower: not good. There was some road noise but didn’t disturb sleep. I paid a very low conference rate, but if I paid more than $100 total I’d feel ripped off. But it was kinda worth the Motel 6 rate.

I thought Breakfast was included in the stay but when I got there I realized you had to pay for breakfast separate and go next door to get breakfast. I did not try the breakfast.

I did not like not having a microwave in my room and not having breakfast available inside the hotel. Also when I took my kids out to the pool there were not any towels outside on the rack to dry off with.

I would NOT recommend staying here. The photos are very misleading. The rooms look like they have not been remodeled or cleaned since the eighties. No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms. Everything feels 'sticky,' even the bed and linens. Stains on the furniture and walls. Bad smells in the hallways and elevators. For $200 a night, there are far better options available. Pretty disappointing for what is supposed to be a 4 star Hilton hotel. Also, they hold your security deposit for weeks.

The room was amazing, everything worked perfectly, always cleaned and had people double checked the rooms to make sure it was properly maintained 10/10 experience
