This would have been a five star review if we had been given the room that we booked initially. This trip was gifted to me by my son and he had booked a room for my friend and me to have a garden view. The room that we were first assigned had a view of the rooftop of a lower level of the hotel with a discarded bathing suit and trash on the roof and a sliding glass door to the balcony that would not open - I am assuming so customers did not go out on the rooftop. We could only see a sliver of the ocean on the far right of the window. Since my son had paid for this trip and our documentation from the travel agency literally stated we were to have a room in the Garden Wing with a view of the garden, I was insistent on his getting what he had purchased for me. When we went downstairs to point out to the front desk staff that we weren’t given the room my son had reserved, we were told there was nothing that could be done about it because the hotel was sold out. At that point, I got my son’s travel agent involved, and we got a phone call from hotel staff that we would be moved, but not until the next day because the garden wing was filled with basketball players. This meant repacking the following morning and having to change rooms, which caused us to leave the pool area and interrupted our day. This was especially disconcerting because both my son and I are Hilton Honors members. If you had basketball teams in the Garden Wing, my room still should have been held for me. However, once we got moved to our room in the Garden Wing the next day, everything was literally perfect. I especially want to mention HIRAM AVILA as being an especially warm and helpful employee. He felt like family by the end of our trip. His customer service was gold standard. If I am ever fortunate enough to stay at the Caribe Hilton again, the first thing I will do is find HIRAM AVILA and give him a big hug. If all your employees treated your guests as HIRAM AVILA treated us, you would have a truly exceptional staff.

This is a beautiful hotel! I'm giving it 4 stars because the first night we ended up in a room that was not our original planned room overlooking the garden. We ended up in what was called an ocean view room, but we could not see the ocean much because the room was basically just a rooftop view, and a small but of the ocean showing in the distance. We were supposed to be in a garden view room. We finally got our room changed and that changed everything. The garden view room was gorgeous! We also had such an awesome experience with good food and great service by the pool. Hiram Avila was such an incredible server! We felt so well taken care of. He brought us so much joy! He was so attentive and helpful! After not feeling well taken care of at the Caribar restaurant inside because it seemed our waiter forgot us, he was a welcome breath of fresh air! The caribe has lots to offer and it was extra special because of Hiram and the pool staff.

Currently here for spring break with our college age daughters. Everyone has been incredibly helpful and welcoming, especially Roberto one of the bartenders at Bagua

Love the place - Trip was wonderful. Hate Zen -Spas -after 5 visit -they wouldn’t refund my six visit when i couldn’t attend! Poor Customer service -no common business policy! Buyer beware never pre-pay for a day to day service!

The hotel is located in city center and is clean for most part. The front desk staff and vallet staff were good

There is limited access to beach and we had to travel to a different area to have a better access to beach. Some staff were not friendly and didn't clean or made our bed. The bar area staff seems to be busy and do not attend to you on time and we had to wait for an extended period of time. One very disappointing experience that I didn't want to pass withiut mentioning was about one of the ssrver st the bar. First, he forgot one the order of one of our children and we had to wait so long. Then, he took the credit card for payment and didn't return to us. We waited for more than 30 minutes and we had to physically walk to him to ask him. He apparently denied taking the credit card. We insisted that we gave to him. Finally, he had to go back and search for the card and found out that he dropped it in the bar area where someone took it and gave it to the front desk. Even if we didn't give him like said, he should have come and asked us if we need more drinks or food. But he never did. He never apologized until I confronted him. It was very bad. The service at the pool was also very bad. No one comes and ask you for drink or snacks. You have to walk to them and stay on line for an extended period of time. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience and doesn't worth my buck.

Lovely resort, plenty of facilities

My room kept only having cold water which meant I could not have showers as and when I wanted to. They did waive the resort fees and my first night in compensation.

Starting from check-in to check out the experience was pretty bad . Booked a premium room ocean view but was given a room which had AC problems , door not closing and mold on the balcony . We made a wrong choice staying at this property . Very bad experience and staff are not helpful at all specially front desk staff

I stayed here Dec '24 in a double queen w/balcony. Average size. Dated and needing renovation (paint and noisy a/c). Lots of shouting/running people noise down the hallways late at night. The hallways were wet, ceilings leaking and needed paint. In Mar '26 stayef in king 2 room w/o balcony w/o view - Perfect. Well painted, very modern, spacious and wonderful. Dining and sitting room, mini kitchenette, 2nd toilet. Very cool a/c. Noticed a much higher presence of security (armed). Food is very expensive $$$$$ but good. Service hours limited. Across the streets are more reasonable food and drink options. The pools, beach and view can't be beat. Plenty of chairs, towels and ideal selfie spots. Grassy areas and fitness centers.

The location is amazing and convenient for transportation to and from the airport.

Our shower door didn’t close all the way so the floor was completely wet and there was no mat so we had to be careful not to slip.
