Hilton Budapest

The location of this hotel is absolutely phenomenal and truly the strongest aspect of the entire stay. The rooms we booked were also very spacious and completely comfortable. The view, however, is on another level entirely – overlooking the Danube, the Parliament, and the city itself. It is genuinely breathtaking and worth more than anything else. The hotel building itself is architecturally beautiful and blends very nicely into its surroundings, which makes the exterior very impressive. The restaurant is also excellent, with great food and a highly charismatic atmosphere, especially thanks to its stunning view of the Danube. However, the hotel overall feels somewhat dated and in need of refreshing. It does not quite match the standard I would typically expect from a Hilton property, especially compared to others I have stayed in. The lobby, for example, does not create a particularly strong first impression, and there are some practical inconveniences, such as the lack of a direct lift from the garage, which means you need to carry luggage up the stairs (although assistance is offered by staff). In summary, while the location, views, and restaurant are outstanding, the hotel itself would benefit from renovation and a general update to better match its exceptional setting.

Fantastic building in an even better setting, clean and comfortable. The sky bar was a great bonus with breathtaking views, friendly and attentive staff and awesome cocktails and snacks.

It was sometimes hard to get the attention of bar staff in the lobby bar.
