DoubleTree by Hilton Lisle Naperville

Rooms were really good.

Not at all what I expect from a double tree Hilton. Smelly room, room phone is broken, they don't have bathroom/spa slippers, There's no Mini bar in the room ( even the most substandard hotels offer a mini bar in the room) they don't even have water in the room (you gotta buy it). I told the management about the phone not working and they did not accommodate me at all and instead only said"is probably broken like most of our phones" However, i liked the breakfast they served

The cleanliness of the room was poor, experienced bug bites.

The hotel was quiet and peaceful during evening and nighttime hours.

It’s a decent hotel, a little outdated overall but for the most part clean. The shower grout could use a good scrubbing with bleach, but that comes with age. Overall it fit our needs for the night we were there and would stay again if needed.

Nice property, clean quiet

While not a bad facility, this hotel is missing some basic amenities for travelers. Breakfast is not included, unless you have a very expensive room. The rooms have no refrigerators in them, which means it is hard to have your own supplies. There is no free coffee service either! Most hotels that don’t offer free breakfast at least have coffee! We stayed on the “executive” floor which offered nothing extra other than needing your key to work the elevator. Waste of money. The phone didn't work, so we had to use the cell to call the desk. They put in a work order, supposedly, but it was never repaired during our three night stay. There are lots of hotels in the area, so look around!

Clean

The breakfast was fantastic! The bar was nice and the bartender was personable and accomodating. The hotel is clean, but could use updating. In my opinion the 6th floor “private key” access was not worth the upcharge. We were expecting access to snacks or bottled water rather than just a floor where others could access unless their key card allowed for it; however we were advised that they haven’t had food / water there available since before Covid. It was evening when we checked in and the lights were off. It was just a dark lit room with seating, but not inviting because it appeared closed. Lastly, because we did have the Private key access we we entitled to free bottled water (one, per person, for each night of our stay) at the front desk and the clerk, without checking first, said we could only have it at check-in. The other clerk remembered us and informed her that we were 6th floor guests and entitled to it. I do appreciate that she remembered us without checking the system. It gave it a more personal touch.
