The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.

While we were there, they had construction going on and there was no water Monday night and Tuesday morning. When we checked in, we were told that there was no air conditioning but when we got to our room it was working. The only thing we got was a voucher for breakfast for Tuesday and we didn't use it for Wednesday because no water.

"Never stay here!"

2.0

Hilton/Doubletree rented this entire hotel out knowing the water will be shut off for the next two days from 9am-4pm. And the establishment next door has outdoor screen with soccer game on and volume wide open after 9pm. Not only can guests not use the restroom or wash their hands for the next two days, they can’t sleep either! Reservation booked for two weeks and no advance warning.

"HORRIBLE"

Was excited to come here but holy moly this hotel is a nightmare. When we got here the sheet were not change, there was trash from the previous person that was staying here. The worst part the light to the door entrance is completely out. Would not recommend to anyone

"Horrible"

2.0

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Booked through a business software so I didn’t see all the other negative reviews, unfortunately. Upon arrival in the evening I was told that the hotel AC wasn’t working (as if it was a new problem) so they’d be willing to refund me for the stay. However, they didn’t bother to notify me in advance and since it was late in the evening I didn’t have time to find a new hotel. I stayed for a night to find that there was no hot water and the room was miserable without the AC. After a night of no sleep, I moved hotels in the morning and observed that they were still offering rooms at the hotel, despite the apparent “new lack of AC” problem and complete lack of hot water. I honestly don’t know how they are still being allowed to operate, it’s a shame on Hilton.

"Avoid this property!"

1.0

Location.

No air conditioning for the entire week in 80 degree June weather. Water off for 2 days of my stay. Place was dirty in common areas like the elevators.

"Could be a nice place, but needs work."

4.0

This property has potential. It's location is great if you have buisess downtown and it was quiet. Prices are in-line with other hotels, although $30 to park in an outdoor lot seems steep. The room (1 bedroom king) was fine. It was clean on my arrival, the bed was comfortable (not an extra-firm concrete like mattress) and had daily service. As so many other reviews have said, there was no air conditioning. At check-in, they offered me a box fan. I assumed they would bring one up. Nope. They handed it to me and I had to carry it along with my luggage and laptop bag. Fortunately it was not hot (May 17-20) so opening the four windows (3 inchecs) max was enough to get the stuffyness out of the room. Unfortunately the first two nights we had heavy rain, enough to knock out the TV a few times, and so while the room wasn't uncomforably hot, it got humid. But it was manageable. There were no screens so I was concerned about the Minnesota state bird (the mosquito) but there were none. Perhaps it was too early in the year or perhaps I was on a high enough floor. When I met my group for breakfast the next morning, I found out I had a better experience than they did. First off, the restaurant was closed for "renovations" although we never saw any work being done. Second, both of their rooms had plumbing issues related to leaks, one from pipes in the ceiling and one with a bathrub where the water was constantly flowing from the faucet. I felt lucky until my toilet stopped flushing because the flapper mechanism had failed requiring me to put my hand in the tank and operate it manually. Since it was going to be my last night I didn't report it figuring I would do it when I checked out. Alas, overnight, the toilet itself, perhaps the flange, started leaking and I woke to wet carpet. On the plus side, they did comp my parking due to the issue saving me $90. A side issue I had was the ice machine on my floor didn't dispense ice, although the control panel indicated it was full and the compress was running. As a result, I had to go down a floor to get ice. Not a huge deal, although the carpet in the elevators definitely need to be cleaned. Their neglect is indicative of the overall state of the hotel. I didn't have need to use the business center, but it is very small. I didn't encounter any issue with rude staff mentioned by other reviews, but I did observe some other people where things were getting escalated so if occupancy was higher and the staff had to deal with a constant barage of complaints, I could see where there could be a problem. The only interaction I had, other than checking and checkout which were both smooth, was requesting a code to get my car out night two so I could go to Mall of America. The $30 parking fee is suppose to be in/out. At first the person seemed confused by what I was asking. This person may not have been the regular desk person, but he did give me a code to get out. So basically, this Doubletree needs help. It's a great location and other than the plumbing, the room was fine. But I can't recommend staying there right now. For the cost, too many basic functions are failing.

"Disgusting, unpleasant, uncomfortable"

2.0

This hotel should be shut down and not accepting any guest. It had no AC, it lost hot water, and lost all water at points. The elevators were also being used for cleaning crews and contractor crews while one of the elevators was also down so they took awhile. The carpets were disgusting, the hallways had must in them. Shame on Hilton for keeping this place open to guest. Just shut it down and finish your renovations.
