La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Clute Lake Jackson

It was absolutely horrendous!! The front smelled of mildew, and then our room smelled so horrible my 5 year old and husband couldn’t even go inside! I tried to get a refund they said no Expedia has to give us one. Called Expedia that was a joke. Received a 25 dollar credit. Had to eat the 194 dollars and go find a better place!!!!!

The only positive aspect of my stay at this hotel was that the bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. It was too hot unfortunately to enjoy either of them.

The room was in poor condition. Every cabinet had a layer of mold, and there were dirty handprints on various surfaces, including an unclean microwave. I also spotted several roaches. To make matters worse, the air conditioner was broken, leaving us uncomfortable throughout our stay. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to stay anywhere else, or I would have.

I chose this hotel for the breakfast, the nice pool in the picture, and the clean rooms. Turns out, the breakfast was insufficient, the pool was not usable, and the rooms were horrible. We had roaches. The linens were dirty and stained, the AC was loud and fairly ineffective. Overall, it did not feel clean.

The beds weren’t that good!! Morning guy at front desk had a really bad attitude!!

Easy hotel for checking in and out. Great place for pets. Quiet, even over a holiday weekend. Close drive to the beach. Comfortable and clean.

The rooms sure don’t look like what they advertise. The bathtub had burn marks on it and the tub just didn’t look clean. There was only sheer curtains on our windows people could see right in our room. We had to ask for a comforter there was only sheets. The pool was closed.

That it was cheap and the woman in charge of the cleaning staff was great. She was very friendly and apologetic for the lack of cleanliness.

Other than being cheap, everything else was unacceptable. All of the pictures are misleading. The room was musty and not cleaned well. Staff were less than friendly and rarely available. The continental breakfast was a joke. They had communal butter and milk, yogurt that wasn't edible, and a juice machine that didn't work. And the pool was out of order. After seeing the place, I wouldn't want to swim anyway.

The room was clean, it just smelled very moldy. Like maybe the carpet had been flooded and maybe had mildew. My allergies suffered and I ended up becoming sick.
