Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Matthews - Charlotte

I don’t recall the name of the gentleman that checked me in shortly after midnight Saturday into Sunday, but he was extremely kind and helpful when my friend and I were in a bind and made what was a disastrous night into a night that allowed us to breathe and get some much needed rest.

Location was good

When we got to our room the door was opened so we entered slowly and checked everything out before we entered.

I was appalled at the price for such an older place , cracks in the ceiling , heat would not shut off auto , bed was very cheap , wood floors were ok , just dates overall and would not expected to be near 500 for 2 nights but we had no choice at the time

The price for the place was gouging for last minute , the being was scary

I was happy the room and waiting area were clean.

Old and Motel like. But it suited for what I needed.

Cozy and quiet

No real complaints

Roach in between comforter on top of the sheets and on wooden furniture beside the door.

Room smelled heavily of mildew

The room was outdated the popcorn celing was falling apart and bugs in the room

Airline stranded me due to a cancelled flight at 11:00 at night and they told me that there were no hotels nearby available, and that I was to sleep at the airport. Likely I was able to find this place. I checked in around midnight, I haven’t eaten anything all day due to the airline, and I did not have my luggage which included my toiletries. Thankfully the owner took it upon himself to help me out by driving me to a Wendy’s so that I can get something to eat, and then he drove me to a local gas station where I was able to purchase things like toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant. They really took care of me.
