Great hospitality, serene place to relax and the best breakfast we have ever had. Dinner, soup and chicken (very delicious) and drinks were included in the price! Highly recommended!!!

The hosts were so lovely and helpful. They helped us feel at home. The farm is beautiful and breakfast was delicious. Lots on offer. The animals on the farm were a real treat. Would love to come back for longer.

The room we stayed in was "amazing" - rustic, offbeat and actually a bit hard to get into (up steep old stairs) but as a historical old building but with modern amenities it was just lovely. Grounds & surrounds were also lovely. Some of the other rooms (all stand-alone ex-farm buildings) looked "nicer" on the outside than ours but we didn't see inside them.

We just used the queen bed but I think had we needed to use the loft in our room as an extra bed as well e.g. if we had a child, that would have been a bit tricky. And my partner was less keen on the roosters crowing at 4:30 am! But it's a farm.

Probably my worst paid accommodation ever. I booked and paid my room approx 1 month ago based on pictures and reviews. When I arrived they’d lost my reservation. Got a room after all, but it looked nowhere close to pictures presented at Hotels.com, The standard was completely worn down. It was in the basement of a tired house located 150-200 yards from the reception at Hesla Gard , and in between was a construction site. The house was maybe from the sixties and, and I don’t think much has been done to the apartment since. There was a TV, but it didn’t work. It was cold and I tried to put on some heat, but the only thing that worked was the bathroom floor. I only checked glasses in the kitchen and they were so dirty that nobody would consider dinking from them without doing the dishes first. Furniture was old and tired, but nothing like antiques. Bathroom carpet so old and dirty that it should be burned. They have a kitchen, but had no place for me for dinner. Breakfast was similar but, but I was offed a ”quick breakfast “ consisting of coffee and a waffle. I skipped it and will definitely drive past this place next time.
