"Great Stay at Achmelvich - Highly Recommended"

Located a little away from Lochinver, these pods have been very well designed and laid out. Enjoyed our stay. The pods have all the facilities tucked away within including a small kitchenette with the necessary utensils. One of the pods had a tub and they even provided bathing salt. Thank you. Very clean, well maintained pods. Achmelvich beach is a short walk away. Enjoyed our stay at the pods.

"Perfect for short stays"

+Easy checkin +Comfy bed and sofa +Very friendly and responsive staff +Outdoor BBQ and seating area +Full kitchen with all you need for a short stay

- No mirror on the bathroom wall (although a very small folding one was available), so was quite difficult to shave - the road leading up to the pods is very very narrow , so in case you are driving in with a Van / Big car or something, please be careful and make sure to arrive while there is still daylight

"Would recommend for a stag or large group of travellers but not for couples"

Really close to the beach and some nice walks. Did the job.

It was a bit difficult to find, and we ended up at a different property using the address provided. A pin would have been helpful. Although it was marketed as a luxury glamping pod, it was quite standard in my view so not sure it justified the price. We actually stayed at a nicer, cheaper pod which was ironically not marketed as luxury. It also was not private. There are several pods all facing each other in close vicinity, and two other families staying there came and looked through our windows (presumably searching for their own pods) which felt intrusive. I think this would have been nice for a big group looking for separate but interrelated pods to stay in but wasn't as nice for a couple looking for a private retreat away in nature. The checkout time on booking (11am) was also different to the time we were told to vacate in the guestbook instructions (10am) and in my view is too early considering how late check in is.
