Hotel Gletscherblick

Loved our stay here. It’s just so very picturesque and peaceful. The room was lovely and cosy and we had access to the biggest balcony with beautiful views. Staff were helpful and the breakfast had plenty of options. I was slightly worried about being able to get to the hotel but it was absolutely fine. There are 2 busses that stop near the hotel (1 stops pretty much outside). The walk in to the main town isn’t too difficult either and we enjoyed doing this as it’s a beautiful route. We managed to get down the hill and back up again in the dark and in the snow absolutely fine with the right shoes. There is also an option to use the hotels shuttle for CHF 10 if needed, but we didn’t need to. Overall would definitely recommend.

Cozy mountain hotel that was perfect for a few nights stay. The staff were warm and friendly. The hotel facilities were somewhat basic but we had everything we needed. Sweeping views of the mountain surround the hotel. The hotel is easily accessible by bus 121 or 124 into town and train station. Would recommend for travelers who don’t mind a short (but hilly) walk to town center.

We had a wonderful stay with my family in this hotel. We welcomed Christmas here, and we had a really nice white christmas, with the town covered in thick powdery white snow. The town of Grindelwald is like a backdrop in those hallmark Christmas movies, a cozy and charming little town. The view from the hotel is stunning, both from our room and from the restaurant. They also have a good selection for their breakfast, and the staff are pleasant. A little tip to those who want to spend winter here, since the hotel sits on top of a hill it can be a challenge driving up if there's a lot of snow. We had our winter tyres on but it still posed a challenge to drive all the way up, someone had to give us a little push a few meters from the hotel. We noticed that the cars there and even the bus had chains on their wheels, so for next time we'd come prepared with it too. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and we'd really love to come back to see the whole place again in other seasons. :-)

We had a great time in the hotel. Very nice breakfast will all the necessary that you want to start your day and a cozy room to have rest after a sky day. But the most amazing thing was the spectacular view from the balcony to the snowy mountains 🏔️

Beautiful views from the room and a nice breakfast included. The only place we stayed in Europe that had easy parking. Front desk dude was friendly and helpful.

Close to nature

Despite the cold and wet conditions when we arrived in Grindelwald, the hotel provided a warm and cozy retreat. The next morning we were greeted by a breathtaking view of the mountains from our balcony. The breakfast was simple but tasty, close to the town centre. Overall, and excellent stay and it is a place I definitely hope to return to.

Lovely room with nice balcony seating. Breakfast was wonderful. Easy to walk to and from the village if you miss the bus. The staff at the desk was wonderful and enormously helpful with our room and our plans to visit the area. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Wonderful location and more wonderful people. The best part of this property is its location.... the rooms overlook the greenery and mountain in the best part of Grindelwald. The view is just mesmerising. The people at the hotel are also very kind and helpful. The breakfast is also very good value for money. I had stayed at some very luxury hotels in Switzerland but I must say the breakfast at this hotel was better than the expensive luxurious hotels I have stayed in Switzerland. The room size is also good and comfortable. The bathroom is also big. The need to improve their housekeeping a bit. Other than this I enjoyed my stay at this hotel with great views. Wish they had their restaurant operational during our stay. I understand that except in winters, the restaurant is not very economically viable so I am not complaining. Highly recommend this hotel.... it is very reasonably priced and good sized rooms with fantastic views and good breakfast.
