The TV wouldn't turn on.

Absolutely loved this place! Feels off the beaten track in a quiet part of the island, enjoyed the birdsong at night and in the morning, and the view out over bush and Putiki Bay. Close enough to walk to Palm Beach, or Onetangi Beach for those with more energy, and to/from the amenities in Ostend, and easy enough to grab regular buses around the island too. The unit had quirky charm and everything I needed, great shower, comfy bed, outdoor table & chairs and enough kitchen gear to support breakfast making and a tired easy microwave dinner after a long day of tramping. Comms with Charlie via booking.com app were easy and responsive, and welcomed her generosity over amending my booking. Would definitely stay again!

All was fine by me on a mainly tramping break - and probably for those also wanting to get some peace and quiet off the beaten track - to walk up/down the hill from Ostend/the bus stop, however just noting my lower scoring on location was to help other travellers choose their perfect place to stay, by aligning more with how I would expect the majority to consider the location.

Very nice place. We were a group of 8 and really enjoyed the pirate ship as it was perfect to gather. Thanks a lot for letting us stay later due to bad weather. Very basic kitchen but makes life easier. Many thanks.
