Wild Days Accommodation

We stayed 3 nights in the pirate ship and had an amazing experience. The place was peaceful and had great views.

A bit of a walk from the bus stop, Ostend was around 20min walk away. First day we did not realise there was a shortcut so we had to walk a bit further with our bags. However we did not mind the walking.

The staff were very accomodating and went out of their way to make sure I had the most comfortable stay. Location was stunning and perfectly situated to explore the island

The mattress was too soft for me unfortunately

It was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely view and a good deck area.

Since it had rained a lot previously it was a bit muddy getting from the car to the cabin.

For the amount you pay, it’s bang for your buck lol the property was algood. The private shop was an adventure. We lived the outside table area.

Probably the shower, when the water heated up there was no pressure at all. But that would be the only downfall for us

The view down the valley was lovely, lots of trees and birds and a glimpse of the water. It was very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was clean which we appreciated. As was the kitchen area. The lady who brought us some linen was friendly.

The cabin we stayed in (3) was right behind two water pumps which were right next to the deck where we could sit outside. They were unattractive and noisy. Anytime anyone flushed a loo in any of the cabin’s it activated the pump . The cabin was relatively new, however, the furniture and curtains were pretty average, including the shabby grey curtains, one hung inside out, the towels were old and faded as was the linen some of which had stains on it. Both were off putting. The rug looked like it had seen better days. There was dust on a lot of the surfaces. The outside furniture was very old and the table hadn’t been cleaned or wiped down in some time as it had mould and grime on it. One of the wooden utensils was so old it was split. There was no egg flip either. The single sofa bed really wasn’t suitable as a bed at all, it was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable. Even for a child or small adult. The fridge was a tiny bar fridge, the bbq had no equipment to clean it, even though you are asked to clean it, so we didn’t use it. The outside area was untidy and wasn’t well kept with an uneven dirt driveway.

Nothing not to like

I loved the bush and the native birds. The cabin was lovely and clean, and had all the comforts required. The owners were lovely and friendly, really enjoyed our stay.

Our stay was far too short! I'll be back!!

There was a space for the kids to run around outside and there were some old toys to play with.

The van/ old bus with the toilet is the experience you get when your life is really going bad or you are about to become a homeless. Milo was expired 😔.
