Hilton Palm Springs

Clean, amazing pool area and bar. Staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. Had everything you needed. Close to everything. Lovely big rooms.

I am a Hilton Diamond Member, so one of the perks that I get is check-in online and head right to the room when I arrive at the hotel. I did that for a stay at the Hilton Palm Springs, but when I arrived to the room.... there were personal belongings of a guest there. The bed was not made, and it looked like someone had just taken a nap or something. There was some food and a glass of wine in the room as well, along with used towels in the bathroom. I went to the front desk, where I was assisted by Armando, who couldn't get himself to say, "I am sorry" or even smile. He just gave me the keys to another room. While I was checking in, another guest arrived and he was upgraded to the Presidential Suite ! Beyond the fact that the room was not ready, there are other issues at stake, including safety. If I stay again at this hotel, what guarantees me that someone else won't be given my room while I'm away, putting my personal belongings in jeopardy? Then, when I received the request for feedback, through one phone number, I spoke with three different people : Paola, Claudia, and Emma. Of course, they were very apologetic after I told them was happened and they offered points to make it things better. I agreed to the points, but I guess they also went to someone else as it's been over 2 weeks now and nothing. This hotel has failed to provide the service it should have, and then failed to provide compensation for their own failure. Needless to say, I'm never returning there, especially in a market like Palm Springs where you have tons of other options around.

The best things this hotel has to offer are the location and views of the mountains. We had room #315 which was top floor corner with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was quiet and very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the center of town. I am a Hilton Gold member, and they did recognize that upon our arrival. My issues with the hotel were the exorbitant daily parking fees to park within the perimeter of the hotel while there was ample free safe parking on the streets immediately next to and surrounding the hotel Also, the service at breakfast was spotty and very expensive for what you received. Honestly even if you get food vouchers for your Gold Membership it is better to go out to any of the very numerous and good breakfast spots nearby. You will actually save money and be happier with the food and service you receive.
