The location is good

On arrival we were upgraded to an executive room we thought this is a good start. Wrong, room was very shabby, two doubles beds were 4ft size not double. Don’t accommodate for 3 adults, needed to get a roll out bed. Room wasn’t set up for three. It was dusty, bad smell from carpets, webs in corners of rooms, balcony doors didn’t close properly. Woke up at 7am to work men on the roof at 7am on Sunday morning drilling, we only had one night stay booked TG.

Bostonian Hotel Average place to stay but high cost for no reason. When I book my room it claim to be a room with a view and a balcony. When we check in it was on the second floor, I don’t know about you but my expectation of a room with a view is higher than 2 floors. So we got move to the fifth. Yea! Then from there the room was average what I would expect at a red room inn. The bed squeaked and had a cheap foundation. You know the 99$ foundation you got in your first apartment when you took the bed off the floor finally. The frig did not work, no amenities in the room water, pen , snack nothing. Red Roof inn vibes. Let me say this nothing against red roof inn. I live by the motto. You never go wrong at a holiday Inn. The phone was hit and miss to call the front desk to voice concerns and the tv kept turning itself off. I just used my phone for everything. Security there is not any no camera on hallways that are dark and have turns. The day we left a came in and ask the front desk. Where was the elevator, no me being security mined for my guest would have at least asked do you have a reservation and say the elevator is for guest. So the Bostonian is an overpriced quality inn. That charge a hidden fee of 30$ per night for its location got a feeling they won’t be there long. When you are charging for location and you are not the only player in town you are desperate. This is a 2 star hotel at best just for the location.

the location is the main attraction for this hotel for tourists like us - next to Faneuil Hall and Quincy market. Staff were helpful. the bed was comfortable.

The rooms and the common areas are looking a dull and faded. The double bed had three pillows - so we fought over who could use two. There was one glass in the room so we shared it. We expected the city tax but in addition a daily fee was added nominally for the hotel' central position! Why not put this on the main room rate so we can see before booking? Quite loud noise from the road. The double doors to the small balcony couldn't be closed.

Close to downtown and the marketplace

No refrigerator, no microwave, no extra toiletries, bar was less than impressive….

The room was comfortable but a little worn. Ok the lamp shade had a hole in it but the bed and pillows were comfortable. We had room in the back view to North End so it was quite. Breakfast was a bit strange as you get ''credit' in the lobby restaurant and it was a menu not buffet. Breakfast was fine though. Check-in prior from their email made it breeze and all you had to do was get the room key. Checkout was the same but we checked out for an early flight but the day before it seem everyone liked to check out right at noon with one elevator working. I'd recommend not wait until noon.

The coffee machine in the lobby. We thought it was complementary coffee but no, you had to pay for the coffee. This was a bit tacky not only for the price point of this hotel but then to charge for the coffee. Really?
