Temecula Creek Inn

The location is very refreshing. Although, I don’t golf it’s a nice place to have a business meeting or getaway with the family. I was there for a two-day conference.

My spouse and I stayed at Temecula Creek Inn based on a recommendation from Pechanga Hotel. We were in town for a friend’s wedding and thought this would be a great place to stay, given its reputation and higher price point. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from start to finish. We had communicated with reservations ahead of time about arriving early and it was noted on file. While we understand early check-in isn’t guaranteed, we expected at least some effort or courtesy from the front desk. Instead, we waited nearly two hours after a long drive from Los Angeles. When we finally received our room key, we were placed on the second floor instead of the first, but that wasn’t the main issue—the room itself was. The carpet was very dirty, the comforter had dark stains, and the bathtub showed signs of poor cleaning and heavy wear. We decided not to let that ruin our weekend and went to enjoy our friends’ wedding. The next morning, after returning late, I called the front desk around 10:20 a.m. to request a short late checkout. The clerk and her manager immediately said no, without offering any options or flexibility. Even an extra 30 minutes would have helped, but their lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist was disappointing. We’ve traveled often and stayed at many hotels, but this was one of the poorest service experiences we’ve had. Management should empower their staff to show more hospitality and problem-solving. A little care and flexibility go a long way in making guests feel appreciated. Sadly, we won’t be recommending or returning to this property.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, and very quiet. Skip the restaurant, food was not good, salad was brown and wilted, and poor quality all around. So surprised that they didn’t offer to replace the entrees that were subpar. The servers apologized many times for the marginal food, but could not waive the cost of the food. I am not picky, but go to one of the restaurants nearby, much better choice!

Resort is nice but needs some updating, especially in bathrooms. Lamp shades in room and bathrooms are needing to be replaced. For cost expected more.

Overall, the Temecula Creek Inn was a quaint little place to stay at (while we had power). On the second day of our stay, we experienced an electrical issue in our room. The technician came by and flipped a breaker, which momentarily fixed the problem. However, it went out again due to the poorly designed sockets and plugs behind the beds. Our power got knocked out a second time, and after hours of working in our room (while we were there getting ready for a wedding), the power never returned. We had left for a local wedding, and upon returning, we packed up in the dark and checked out early. I'm not sure if they will refund us for the rest of our stay, but we had a miserable time in Temecula overall.

Beautiful property, friendly staff and wonderful food from the restaurant!

We reserved a corner room and the first room we were put in had a view of broken fence and weeds. They were able to find a second room, which was good, which has a gorgeous view of the golf course since that’s what we paid for the room itself is beautiful. The balcony and outside is older and could use some repair but overall it’s a great place.
