Baymont by Wyndham Orangeburg North

Would not recommend. Booked at last minute after 10 hour road trip. Room reeked of beer. Phone didn't work to call front desk. 2 of the lights didn't work and there was no remote for the tv. Breakfast was extremely limited( called a buffet breakfast) Hilarious!!

Clean room. Great AC……..runs quietly and strong.

This is the second time I stayed at this property. The staff very friendly and helpful! And stay was perfect!

Room was filthy and totally dilapidated. Including a missing smoke detector. I will say that the bed seemed to be clean. Other than that.....

This property is a dive. The rooms are dirty with broken furniture. They advertise the swimming poo being open - however the pool has not been open for the past 10 years. Old broken down ice makers that don’t work. Rude owners that knocks on the door at 9am requesting that you leave when check out at 11:00am. NEVER AGAIN at this property!

Carpet was soaked in first room, I asked for another room. Second room smelled like it was smoked in and phone did not work. Will not return to this location.

MY ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY CLEAN AND AMAZING

When we arrived at Baymont by Wyndham Orangeburg North, the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, which gave me hope for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our visit. The first room we were assigned didn’t even have a toilet seat, forcing us to move to a second room. But the second room was far worse. The toilet often didn’t flush, the sheets and comforter were stained and clearly unclean, and the room had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable to even sit inside. The bathroom was filthy, with mold in the bathtub and dirty surfaces, making it stressful and unsafe to shower or use the toilet. Adding to the nightmare, there were live spiders actively making webs — one on the lamp and another across the ceiling — along with a dead cricket left on the floor. The room did not have a chair, the telephone didn’t work, and the electrical socket by the light appeared unsafe, highlighting serious maintenance issues. At night, my family and I kept trying to sleep, but it was impossible to relax. We were constantly worried that something might crawl on us while we were in bed, making the entire stay stressful, uncomfortable, and unsafe. Wyndham advertises its “Count on Us” pledge, promising clean and safe rooms with enhanced sanitation. This property completely failed to meet those standards. While the front desk clerk was kind and tried to help, the horrible room conditions, pests, unclean bedding, unsafe bathroom, and broken amenities made the stay unacceptable. Until this hotel undergoes serious cleaning, maintenance, pest control, and safety improvements, I cannot recommend it to anyone — especially families. Need a refund.
