Eden Roc Miami Beach

Meh. Not a luxury experience at all. Cost me $5K for 2 nights with flight & I knew the moment I pulled up to the valet that the website photos were misleading. Needs a total, gut renovation. The wear & tear can be seen everywhere. Rooms are tired, lobby spaces are missing tiles, chipping paint, water stains, decor is jumbled/ not cohesive & lighting fixtures are old & dusty. Most important the service is slow if you get service at all. Beachfront is row upon row of beach chairs, no privacy & squished. A lineup at the beach hut to get a chair. Umbrellas are extra money. Guests are a mix of conference attendees & bachlorette parties & very young couples for a weekend warrior stay. DJ rave music pounding all day long. Conferences in every meeting space & common space possible. Food: the food at the beach is so lacklustre & small portions. I ordered guac/chips (salsa not included in the price if you can imagine) & one chicken sandwich & it was over $100US. Bottled water is $12US. No jugs of water at the beach huts, so you have to buy the bottled water. Bottled water took over 45 mins to arrive. Smell of old food on the beach because the half eaten, discarded food is just left on the side tables. Staff doesn't get to the plates & the birds start swarming to get the old food. Birds everywhere. I saw one bird bite a staff member. Overall very expensive & disappointing. Location: far drive from eveything. Boardwalk has a nice walking path. You must have a car (or Uber) & it is a 20 min drive to anywhere worth going to like South Beach or Sunny Isles. Gym: very very hot - next to no air conditioning at all. Positive: gym has windows with a good view & equipment was good & new. Overall takeaway: not the high end Miami experience I was hoping for at all. Positives: valet was quick (although very expensive at $60US per day & no self park parking option). Bike rentals were a lot fun & first hour was free but bikes were always rented so only got to use them once. Boardwalk on the beachside was very nice too.

A academia do hotel é otima, toda a area comum é muito agradável de forma geral, o lobby é muito limpo e cheiroso. A praia na frente do hotel é quase que exclusiva para hospedes então fica bem tranquilo... Os quartos são amplos e tem uma varanda confortável o que nao é comum em qualquer hotel... foi otimo para deixar as roupas de praia secarem e para curtir o visual.

A unica piscina que estava batendo sol nessa epoca do ano (fevereiro) era a piscina exclusiva para hospedes do hotel Nobu, isso me desapontou um pouco, a melhor vista da piscina para a praia também é lá. O café da manha é um pouco caótico, filas de 10 a 15min para sentar e alguns itens acabam, mas se vc der sorte e o atendente tiver boa vontade, como foi o nosso caso, eles levam até a mesa. Nesse sentido nao recomendo o café da manha do hotel... tem uma lojinha/café que vende otimas opçoes caso vc não queira sair de lá para tomar café da manha. Outra coisa que me desagradou foi que o guarda sol é cobrado a parte na praia que pra mim não faz o menor sentido quando voce ja paga pela hospedagem e todas as taxas... Fui um pouco mal atentida pela recepcionista quanod cheguei de manhã, mas acho que era mau humor pois outros da parte da noite foram simpaticos e solicitos. Comemos na praia e no restaurante e a qualidade não é das melhores.. só o restaurante Nobu que continua muito bom apesar de precisar de uma atualizaçao no design no local que é o mesmo onde o café da manha é servido

Chris V set us up at the beach and was terrific! The beach is white sand and lovely. There are many pools to choose from so we look forward to relaxing.

My daughter and I arrived at the hotel on Friday late afternoon. I realized it was valet only. The valets were very kind and not pushy to get us and our things out of the car. One valet actually took the time to zip one of our luggage pieces before taking it to the cart. We were brought to the front desk and quickly got our room keys. The room was away from the elevator and very spacious. The bathroom had a separate water closet and huge walk in shower. We utilized the valets to give directions to a shop to grab a quick dinner. He knew a little shop just blocks away that we could walk to. I always felt very comfortable near the hotel and on the grounds, even at night. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that there was a yoga class offered in the hotel for no cost to guests. My daughter and I enjoyed a very intense practice, then she used the gym and I scheduled a breathtaking massage with Luis! Afterwards, I relaxed in a room overlooking the beach. We slept so well in the king bed and it was a short five minute walk to the ocean. Every staff member was kind and helpful. This will be our hotel anytime we stay in Miami!
