Heathman Hotel

The location is great to the downtown area. I was in town for a conference at the Hilton and it was a designated overflow hotel. It was steps away from the conference. This hotel is more on the boutique side of lodgings. The room was well appointed, the bathroom and the dressing are were a different experience, but unique. The library is a beautiful space that is conducive for relaxing or getting work done. The restaurant faces the street and is convenient after a long day of conferencing. The adjacent chocolate shop is a bonus - the hot chocolate is fantastic!

There didn't seem to be a ramp for luggage or for folks for whom stairs are challenging (arthritic knees and ankles). There was a small service lift (?) that was not very clear how to use. No one offered to help or to offer the use of the lift.

Beds were super comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Shower wasn't draining properly

The valet staff was very friendly. The hotel cards with book quotes was a lovely touch. I loved using a bike to see the waterfront and that a concert next door was easy to do, too! It was a great first visit to Portland.

I wish I had a view out the window

La habitacion era muy grande, y las instalaciones dentro del hotel eran muy buenas. El baño estaba muy bien equipado y no nos falto nada. Toda la ropa de cama y toallas eran muy buenas y todo estaba muy limpio. Volveriamos sin dudarlo.

Estuvo todo muy bien, solo que no habia room service de comida. Cuando quisimos ordenar algo por la web, no se podia, asi que tuvimos que bajar a buscar algo para comer. No estuvo mal, sobre todo porque el restaurante de abajo estaba abierto y nos dieron de cenar, y pudimos llevarlo a la habitacion. Solo que nos hubiese gustado que hubiera room service. El valet parking tambien era un poco caro, considerando que en el area no se recomienda estacionar sobre la via publica por temas de seguridad.

Rooms were beautiful

Valet was a pain Couldn’t get car late night due to one staff member who had to get car from valet which is located off site a few blocks away Being only staff it took a long time to retrieve and made me uncomfortable to ask for car when I know it’s a pain to retrieve So I ended up just parking on street when returning although paying for valet

Very nice hotel, everything was great except for one of the parking valets that did not appear to speak or even understand english very well.
