Ensana Grand Margaret Island

Island setting in woodland was perfect and away from the bustle of the city.

Lovely old style hotel with great rooms. Thermal spa was wonderful. Breakfast was good, as was cold selection at buffet but hot food was lukewarm and over-cooked. Service was good and location was peaceful and very green.

Spa and fitness are excellent. Room cleaning service need to be improved a lot. Corridor that leeds to the pool had blood spots for days etc. Refrigerator didn't work in room and took 2 days to get the problem solved. Staff at breakfast service is lethargic bored no smile..means something is missing.

The stay was pleasant, hotel was nice but the some of the staff were quite rude when asking for information or assistance. The older staff were very good, professional and customer focused, but the younger staff were very blunt, to the point and definitely not customer focused or slightly helpful

Hotel na pěkném místě. V hotelu nefungovala restaurace na večeři, nefungoval bar. Na pokoji nebyly župany - hotel je neměl pro všechny hosty. Bazén a restaurace je ve vedlejším hotelu. Pokud chcete jít na večeři nebo si koupit něco k pití či k jídlu musíte jet autobusem do centra....

Great stay

Grand Hotel is a belle Époque beautiful property. We arrived on Christmas Eve, hotel was warm, beautiful lobby, food was excellent. Breakfast buffet is generous, many types of foods and plenty of everything. Spa is very clean and property has thermal natural pool plus all the other spa amenities. We were very happy. There is a bus that can take you out of the island to the bridge and one can decide to take tram to Buda or Pest side. Island is beautiful full of trees, peaceful, wonderful walks on water side or inside island through the trees. Very nice experience.

Despite some inconvenience, we consider the stay to be positive. From the negative points I note that when checking in the refrigerator was not filled with drinks. There was no roomservice menu and no toothbrushes. Bed linen was not changed every day. Food trays left outside the door in the evening were cleaned only for dinner the next day. Upset the poor noise insulation between the rooms. Breakfast is good. The kitchen roomservice was delicious and inexpensive, especially we really liked burgers with veal with French fries and salad. Parking is located right in the courtyard of the hotel, there are always free places. It is very convenient to come directly from the room in the bathrobe through the underground passage to the spa area. The spa area is comfortable, a nice swimming pool with hot water and a regular swimming pool too. Finnish sauna was nice. The couple was temporarily out of work, but the administration warned about this in advance. In general, we like this hotel. Been there five days for the second time in three years.

Ensana Grand is unique because staying here means you wake up to the views of the Danube, bird singing and feeah air, not the din of the city. The staff at the hotel are impeccable. This is the 2nd time I am staying and the 2nd time that the reception staff at the spa (Ensana Thermal) are rude and abrupy, sadly.

We love this hotel. Great SPA area, wonderful staff, big rooms and so on and on. But this time bars and restaurants were closed in Grand Hotel, so for a evening drink you have to go to more simple Thermal Hotel. And there was no upgrade for Gold members . I was checking after check in Expedia and better room was available for our dates. But hotel staff lied that no rooms available. I can prove my words with screenshot that I could book better room on these days. But still for us it is the best hotel in Budapest. A little bit far from the centre but taxis are not expensive. Be careful with taxi and avoid “freelancer” black sign taxis. They will overcharge you twice at least. They are trying to pick up people near hotel who wait for taxis booked by hotel.
