The Langham, Boston

Overall, the stay was very pleasant – from the service to the quality of the staff and food, everything was of a very high standard.I would still rate the hotel more than five stars, as it was one of the best business travel experiences I have had so far. I travel frequently, particularly to London, but this was my first stay here and it stood out positively.

The service was excellent! Shout out to front desk Jorge Castro who went above and beyond to make this stay a 5 star experience for myself and family. The housekeeping staff were great as well. Room/bathroom immaculate. Great experience and highly recommend The Langham Boston.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to sadly attend a funeral in Boston. The hotel was very easy to access from the airport, and the valet parking made arrival and unloading simple and stress-free. The hotel itself was clean, charming, and beautifully maintained, with excellent restaurants on site. Our room was spacious, updated, and spotless, and the bathroom felt luxurious with plush towels and upscale finishes. The staff greeted us warmly and treated us very kindly throughout our stay. The location is also fantastic — perfect for walking and exploring downtown Boston as well as the Seaport District. We would definitely recommend staying here and would happily return.

Lovely hotel, professional friendly staff, great bar/restaurant at The Fed, nice health club. Not sure if it's due to age, but some minor hiccups like guest room limited temp control; keys that went inactive one day by mistake; elevator breakdown; and minor guest service communication mishaps. Staff would always quickly resolve issues, however, so it was okay. Wonderful location just a few blocks from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Spacious room with very comfortable bed and luxurious sheets, but small vanity/sink and overall small bathroom.

We chose this hotel for proximity of walking to everything we wanted to experience for our first time in Boston. The location was excellent and met our needs. We are no strangers to luxury hotels and this one fell short a bit. Arrival was great, we were greeted with friendly staff and they provided all the details we needed to know. The guest room experience is what fell a bit short. Aesthetically the room was beautiful, I especially loved the vaulted ceilings and the details of the room. The large heavy drapes in our room were not working correctly and almost impossible to open and close on our own. The cord to open them was extremely greasy and dirty, these having a motorized option would be much more luxury. The bathroom is where i have the biggest complaint. The shower never got above luke-warm, at the end of a long day of wondering there is nothing like a hot shower. The wall mounted shower head was very cheap and would not stay straight with the water running, only hitting the wall, this did not work well for times I did not want my face or hair getting wet. Last, the slippery shower floors, I understand this must be an issues as there is very small anti-slip mats provided which quite frankly are very off brand and not the experience I was expecting from a hotel such as the Langham. There was two days where two elevators did not work, a very minor inconvenience for us, however we happen to walk in when this took place and the staff directed us to the freight elevator with very poor directions. I think asking us where our room was and asking if we prefer stairs would have been the better option. Staff was always friendly and great.

This is a luxury home away from home. There is no pretentious vibe in this establishment at all. My life was touched by the kind notes of gratitude and celebration of my enjoyment of stay from my housekeeper Karla and my turn-down housekeeper Estania. The full service of the Langham Club is remarkably offered without disturbance from Mario, Blair, Vanessa, and Maria. They were all very personal, kind, and welcoming. My check-in was immaculately handled, even when it was the first day of a new system. I would have never known if I had not been paying attention to the trainings going on. Guest services were responsive to my requests. My room was immaculate, beautiful, and the AMEX Platinum upgrade (when available) was appreciated. I come to Boston monthly. As an IHG Diamond Elite Ambassador, I am treated very well at the Intercontinental, but the impression at the end of my many stays there has me left without knowing names and feeling like just a customer. I am excited to call the Langham Boston my new home. I already booked for July.
