Musa

The host was amazing and very caring for our needs, she helped us a lot. The beds are very warm and confortable, and so is the shower. The room is not that big, but commom space like kitchen is great.

The location could be a little more central. Since it was raining a lot when we were there, that made a big difference.

For us everything was good. We enjoyed the time there, quiet area, the place was clean, tide, the room was as the photos, we enjoyed having coffee in the kitchen the area really nice.

The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom were both very clean. The owners were also easy to contact.

**I'm usually not one to complain but I feel as though I need to leave this review because I did not feel safe staying at Musa.** The B&B posting on Booking.com advertised that breakfast was provided, however the only breakfast available was coffee (that you could make yourself), prepackaged crackers, and about five open bags of cookies and biscuits from the grocery store that were left open on the counter for anyone to just take from as they wanted. I found this to be not only unsanitary, but also disappointing given that usually, when hotels in Italy advertise an included breakfast, it includes a selection of cornetti, pastries, fruits, yogurt, and sliced deli meat and cheese in addition to coffee and juice. Additionally, when my roommate and I returned from a hike on Mt. Etna the door to our room was wide open, despite the fact that we had locked it before we departed. When I called Musa's point of contact to ask if there was a reason for this, she asked me multiple times if I was sure that we had locked the door before we left and that she wasn't sure why this happened. When I explained to her that my friend (who is also a young woman) and I didn't feel safe, she just told me not to worry because the owners are good people. Nothing was stolen from our room, but it was still unsettling. The B&B is also in a rough neighborhood. There was no one who worked at the B&B to assist us during our check out, they just asked that we left the keys on a bench near the door to our room. This would have been fine, however as we were getting ready to leave, the point of contact texted me and asked that we leave the balcony doors open because she doesn't have a key to the apartment, which my friend and I found to be very strange. The combination of all of these factors made me feel generally unsafe staying at Musa, especially given that I'm a young woman who is traveling with my friend, another young woman.
