Mission Point Resort

Dining at the resort was meh. We went into town to get a good meal. Resort very clean and comfortable. Beautiful landscaping everywhere. Lawns well maintained and colorful. Wish the caliber of on site restaurants was better. Also taxis service would be good to have a solid schedule so guests could plan ahead for excursions

We spent two nights in one of the Straits rooms here and couldn't be happier. The room was comfortable and quiet, the service and the food were consistently excellent, the grounds are beautiful, and watching the lake from their Adirondack chairs was about as relaxing as it gets. When we were deciding where to stay on Mackinac, I read the reviews here and would suggest anyone else consider the negative ones with several grains of salt. Some complained that the Straits rooms were a bit dated. It's true they weren't new, but they were comfortable and clean. Someone else was apparently horrified at having a brass room key, but after years of experiencing card keys that failed, I liked having a physical key. Either way, face it: you're not coming to the island to sit in your room all day. If you want to impress people by spending a small fortune, by all means, stay at the Grand. But if you want an affordable, beautiful, and comfortable property where the staff truly appreciates your patronage, it's hard to beat Mission Point.

We had a great time on the island. The location is great. It’s outside of the main street a little bit on the corner near a grass pot facility. Large property with friendly staff. Clean. The restaurant and the coffeehouse are great. Highly recommend.

First time staying at Mission Point. Very nice property. Staff was super friendly. Shequeira was super friendly and helpful at check in. And Pat the concierge was also very nice and helpful. Every staff member we spoke with was very nice and friendly.

fantastic resort to stay when on island. just far enough out of the town busy hysteria and an easy walk. it is quiet, restful when needed, but has fun activities when wanted. the great lawn is a fantastic place to sit and read and watch passing freighters. very enjoyable.

Wonderful place. Beautiful grounds. Do the 6:15am free Sunrise hike. It’s 45 minutes round trip including the time seeing the sunrise. The rooms are a little dated but the building was a mission for clergy. I didn’t try the food inside but looked like pizza, burgers and mac n cheese for kids.

Kassandra, our room attendant, was super nice and very thorough in cleaning our room and taking good care of us during our visit.

A great place to stay when you visit Mackinaw Island.

It was a beautiful place and peaceful. We loved it and will go back! The food was delicious and had a wonderful view!
