Bathrooms old, water pressure non existent, shower faulty

We had a surprise upgrade to a suite for our Birthdays with amazing views and prosecco on ice. The staff were so lovely & engaging throughout our 3 night stay, can't do enough for you. We loved the Health Suite especially being outside in the rain but in warm water. Can't recommend this hotel enough, it was like being in Downton Abbey, can't wait to return.

Breakfast was first class with a great choice. The breakfast staff were friendly but not obtrusive and very accommodating. All in all, a great experience. I have to also mention the bed and pillows which were the most comfortable I’ve experienced in a hotel.

Breakfast hearty & filling. Dinner good but pricey. Wine selection limited and pricey but satisfactory. Great location near the beach for refreshing walks and sea-views. Friendly staff

Heating controls in room non-existant (could not reduce temperature). Staff suggestion to "open the window" was insecure (being on the ground floor) but they quickly provided an electric fan. Slow service at high tea in the bar

Lovely room with everything you could think of. Big bonus having the swimming pool & spa . Breakfast with a spectacular view and plenty of choice . Short walk to North Berwick centre .

Wonderful grand hotel in beautiful setting. Staff and service were first class. Breakfast was divine and staff kindly upgraded our room for free.
