Embassy Suites by Hilton Colorado Springs

Very dirty, everything was old over used and outdated. Beds mattress was lumpy and a big dip in the middle. Food at the restaurant was awful pizza was a 17.00 frozen pizza. Blackened salmon was full of bones. Breakfast was overcooked oatmeal and the omelet was dry and tasteless. Staff was friendly! I expected more for 300 a night. Plus a 150.00 hold on my account.

They advertised balconies which is the whole reason I booked the room and none of the rooms had balconies.

The property is excellent. The breakfast is so very good. Lots of choices for everyone. Happy hour was good. However it was better a couple of years ago. But it is still good. Can't complain. Drinks were very good, and the service was excellent. I have stayed at several Embassy Hotels before, and have stayed at this property before. My main complain was the room. The cleanliness of the room was very poor. One day we found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. We assumed that the following day they would remove it. That was not the case. It wasn't removed until I spoke to the person in charge of the rooms that it was removed. You could tell that the only thing that was done in the room was the bed, and change of towels. Other than that the room was dirty. No trash removal was done on one occasion. I was disappointed, because this had never happened before. Please make sure that someone checks the room to make sure they are clean. .

We stayed one night after a concert at Ford Amphitheatre to have a romantic night for our 44th anniversary. The restaurant food was excellent with hugh portions. They got something wrong on my order but rushed to cook a new chicken sandwich. The evening reception has some munchies and 2 drinks per person. The bar tenders who also took food orders werecreally pleasant. They have it every night. The room was well furnished and the bed very comfortable. The only negative was the very small size of the bathroom. We used to come here for holiday buffet brunches ( Easter and mother's day). They were so good. I wish they would bring them back.

Good stay

Like almost all Embassy Suites hotels, this one is very nice. The in-hotel restaurant was a big plus because we were able to get a delicious chef's salad without driving anywhere. They had French toast and waffles, but no pancakes for breakfast--apparently pancakes and French toast alternate days--which was slightly disappointing, but the omelets are great and they have a variety of other things. The manager's reception is a big plus which most hotels don't have. We didn't try the pool, but the hot tub was wonderful. The room, as usual, was spacious and comfortable.

Sherry at the front desk was amazing. The breakfast option were delicious. The only thing I would complain about was the Ac would not work properly. Around 1:30am each night the room would get to 72 degrees even though the AC thermostat was set for 65. So we would wake up sweaty. We complain and had someone look at it and said it was fix but still our room never got cold at night only in the mornings at 8am.
