Historically great stay!

We enjoyed our stay. After long day of site seeing, room service dining was excellent!

The front staff was amazing. The restaurant was mediocre. The wait staff wasn’t friendly, they never checked on us during our multiple times we ate there. We went to the bar one evening and ordered drinks and despite empty glasses sitting in front of us and the bartender just standing there doing nothing for 20 minutes nobody offered to get us another drink. Instead a different bartender just brought us the check. It made us feel like we were an inconvenience and they just wanted us out. It was only 8pm. The housekeeping staff was terrible. They only made our bed each day. They would take out some of the trash, but not all of it. Sometimes they dropped trash in the middle of the floor and left it. Not once did they clean or provide clean glasses. For the price we paid I would’ve expected top-of-the-line service and amenities. I would not stay at this resort again.

This is a nice hotel, but nothing special. The restaurant, however, is awful, overpriced and not worth eating a meal from. The location is close to a Metro stop, which is nice. It's a good location for walking to a few bakeries, places to eat, shopping and Dupont Circle. Azi is an amazing concierge. She is a gem and very knowledgeable.

Second time to stay here. Very much looking forward to it. Definitely has lost pizazz in the past few months. Edgar’s was mediocre at best. Happy hour both times was ok…breakfast got out completely wrong and didn’t even say sorry. The big fly in the ointment was when we experienced an issue with the air conditioner in our room Finally called the front desk at 4 am and waited on service representative to come look at the unit. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He stated it wasn’t communicating with the wall unit (a known issue) and they could have someone reprogram it the following morning. We were offered a chance to switch rooms finally but we declined due to the time of morning 0440. The unit was fixed the following day. Why not verify before you assign guests to the room!? I felt this caliber of hotel should have offered some type of compensation for our inconvenience. We tried to discuss with the front desk upon checkout and was told we needed to see a manager. (Wasn’t arriving until after we left) we requested a manager call us and guess what? Three days later and we are still waiting. Guess we won’t be a third time loyal guest at the Mayflower.
