Penisola Apartment

It was a very welcoming place to stay with three friends. The host was very helfpul, her dad was so warm and hospitable. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. Also an outside space to relax and have a drink. The location was superb, best place to avoid heavy tourism and discover the amalfi coast. Parking was provided by the host.

The kitchen was a bit outdated. No biggie for us because we loved going out for Italian food :)

The host arranged to pick us up at the train station by her father, who handed over the key. Very thoughtful. The entire apartment is roomy. Stone floors and solid construction make it a cool place, perfect for the sizzling summer days. Breakfast was provided at a local bakery/tearoom about three hundred meters away on the central plaza. By the way, Zerilli, the restaurant next door, has the same owner and is a real gem worth the visit.

The kitchen located by the entrance is very small. The recycling bins are confusing.

The apartment is in Vico Equense, which a perfect location. The city is busy, but not overly crowded. There are a lot of restaurants and shops near the apartment. Its a five minute walk to the train station, so it’s easy to get to Sorrento, Pompeii and Naples. The apartment has a small kitchen, the shower has plenty of hot water and there is air conditioning. Teresa and her father were kind and welcoming. We stayed for one week and thoroughly enjoyed our time in this area and at the Penisola Apartment.

Apartment is located in a narrow alley/street. The instructions on how to get there could have been better. For example, the parking location is not at the property but a 5 to to 8 minute walk from the property. If I have known that, then I would not try and squeeze the car into the narrow alley. Other than this minor inconvenience, everything was great.

Facilities given by the Penisola Apartments are not value for the price. Leaking shower base which renders all bathroom humid should be repaired. Though the suggested coffee shop (breakfast tickets were provided by the host) was nice and easy to reach, both the quality and the freshness of cappuccino and croissant were very bad. And the barmaids were not at all welcoming. Unfortunately, these negative aspects forced me and my friends not to return there again for a coffee on the next day.

Loved the location. It was such a beautiful and neighborly town. The owner was super communicative before and once we got the check in situation figured out was welcoming.

The check in. There are no real directions given. The owner asked I message when about 10 minutes away, which I did. Our driver couldn't take us to the apartment, because cars not allowed on that street. So, dropped us off not far. That wasn't a problem, but once we found the apartment building didn't have any direction of how to get in. Unfortunately, I wasn't getting service in the area, so was also unable to contact the owner to see where they were. I buzzed a couple of the buildings on the apartment directory. I hated to bother people, but had no idea how to get through the gate. The owner should provide more detail for this so people checking in aren't so lost.
