Lucille Palm Springs

Everything from the establishment to the entire staff. They were super accommodating and friendly, always ready to help, to make us more comfortable, greet us or just have a chat.

The only thing we didn't like was the establishment uses a scented laundry detergent. Even though they offer to wash the towels in unscented detergent, the synthetic scents are incredibly strong and linger beyond just one wash in unscented products. I would like to see them go completely scent free with the linens.

Beautiful room and common areas. Near to restaurants.

Explanation of hot drinks given by staff for breakfast which we did not know about until too late would have been appreciated. Reception staff excellent.

Breakfast was outstanding, lots of options and the location was super close to the main strip.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, with great parking facilities and easy access with coded entry. The pool facilities were excellent, the grounds were very clean, and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly.

What slightly let this property down for us was the standard of the breakfast and housekeeping, both of which we found to be inconsistent during our stay. For example, on one occasion the room was not cleaned, despite the housekeeper having visited and leaving cleaning equipment (e.g. rags) in the room for the remainder of the day. Despite these issues, we had an enjoyable stay overall and would have been happy to return to Lucille if we were in the area. EDIT – After initially giving a rating of 8/10 (which we felt fairly reflected our experience), I was contacted directly by the hotel manager, Alfredo. I assumed this would be to discuss our stay and any areas for improvement; however, I was surprised to be offered a significant refund in exchange for removing my review. When I questioned this, he became rude and aggressive, and he abruptly hung up on me while I was mid-sentence. For this reason, I cannot recommend this property, would encourage potential guests to question the absence of reviews rated below 9/10, and will be reporting the host to Booking.com.

Great rooms and really comfortable bed, it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into guest experience. We will be back!
