Hotel Casa Encantada

My husband and I traveled together. After reading about Casa Encantada for years and wanting to stay, we finally were able to! We had visited two years ago on a guided tour from Zihuatanejo but were only able to spend a few hours in Patzcuaro and had been hoping to return. We loved Patzcuaro and our stay in a truly unique landmark hotel. We booked the Colonial room. The rate includes a large &delicious daily breakfast (lots of eggs) and we enjoyed the creativity by the chef and excellent staff. Everyone working there is the best. It was an honor to meet and get to know the owner, the incomparable Victoria Ryan and her perfect dog Lea. Great location. A highlight was a 3 hour historical walking tour with Jamie, owner of Patzcuaro Magical Tours which you can book through the hotel. He truly made history come alive. He offers a variety of tours around the area. We will make every to return another time!

Our time at Casa Encantada was wonderful. It is a beautiful, tranquil, clean and very comfortable hotel, located in the heart of Pàtzcuaro. Every detail has been carefully considered and the staff are extremely helpful and professional. The delicious breakfasts are a huge plus.

Casa encantada is a beautiful boutique hotel with tastefully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, cozy fireplaces, a fabulous breakfast, and beautiful gardens! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional, they were kind, courteous, and attentive. Casa Encantada is centrally located, you are mere steps from beautiful art exhibits, artisan workshops, historical sites, fabulous cafes, bars, and restaurants. We enjoy waking up with a hot cup of coffee or tea and appreciated that it was always ready and available by 7:00 a.m. each morning, followed by a fantastic breakfast starting at 8:30. Relaxing in the sun-drenched garden courtyards sipping our hot beverage was the perfect start to our days in Patzcuaro.

Our stay at Casa Encantada was amazing. The house was beautiful, our suite was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the location was prime. We were well taken care of. The king sized beds were so comfortable! We absolutely loved our stay.

Loved the location. The proximity to the main square was perfect. Complimentary breakfasts were , also, a perk. During the meal it enables you to meet some of the other guests. The staff were responsive to every need or want. Patzcuaro is a beautiful town to visit, especially during the Day of the Dead!

I cannot say enough, good things about our experience with this hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments and it was spectacularly detailed. The beds were comfortable. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The bathroom had hot water. I have stayed at other places in Mexico, and this was by far the nicest and very reasonably priced. Victoria and Lewis were the nicest hosts we could ask for we had one small problem but they made it right and it was spectacular.
