"We will be back with hopefully power and council work completed. Think it is a wonderful place"

8.0

Beautiful rooms, very comfortable, great bed, bathroom, nice view of Pittwater

They had a bad storm and lost power, but had torches and electrical candles. Staff did everything they could to make it comfortable for the night until power was back on. They had emergency lighting in the restaurant and hall ways. Council was also doing work outside so lots of big fencing around but will look great when done

"Beautiful location, council works have made a hazardous mess"

6.0

Stunning location with amazing views of the river. Gorgeous art deco style boutique hotel. Our room was upgraded but I think that was because of the roadworks and they moved us to the river side away from the mess and noise. Friendly and helpful staff. Great coffee from the kiosk.

No notification ahead of arrival of the Council roadworks that were happening during our stay. The roadworks made accessibility to the foyer and kiosk hazardous as there was often not a clear, unobstructed path with the workers having to move objects so we could get through. Noisy with vibrations from work. Restaurant in hotel not open during early part of the week making it tricky to get food and nearest cafe closed the kitchen at 7pm. Steep steps to get to rooms with no lift access. $25 per night for parking. Security code to get in and out of the hotel outside of reception hours could be frustrating if you had full hands as it was a long set of digits and I needed to pull this out each time to get into the hotel and then into the room. Difficult with noise from roadworks to tell if the number you had punched in the right code as you couldn't hear if it had registered it so often had to repeat entry of the code.
